Every neighbourhood needs a corner store like this one. Somewhere you can walk to for picking up something you need last minute or just go get by until your next big grocery run. The gentleman who owns it, Dan, is always kind, patient, and incredibly receptive to feedback. I regularly buy eggs, yogurt, seaweed, bell peppers, noodles, and cucumbers here. I have on occasion purchased popsicles, hot sauce, minced garlic, creamed honey, frozen rice cakes (tteokbokki), and pop (ginger ale) as well. I'm always super impressed to see some of the selection that they carry. For example yesterday I found a local Ontario creamed honey which is actually really tough to find unless I commute much farther to a farmers market on specific days at specific locations. But to have access to this a couple of meters from my home/work 7 days a week is such an underrated blessing. They also used to carry my absolute favourite instant noodle of all time (A-Sha Hakka Flat Noodle with Chili Sauce) which was my survival hyperfixation meal during the pandemic winters (I would often add eggs, seaweed, and fresh vegetables to it) and it was so incredibly comforting.

This Cornerstone is at the corner of the apartment. This place like a hidden gem when all the malls or supermarkets closed, you can count on this place. Especially for the attendant of apartments around here. My sisters bought some bread or looking for milk and you can pay by card or cash in this place. They sell a little bit high than others, but...

Probably best convenience store I've ever been to even after the 4 years since I moved away. The store clerk was extremely kind to me and my friend when we bought snacks there while waiting for the bus. He often gave us discounts and free stuff and was overall a friendly person to hang around with. I hope I will be able to visit this store...
