After few years in Toronto we just were in passion to Try Iranian famous Dizi and came across this restaurant via searching for Dizi .We just ordered 2 for take away. Unfortunately seems the meet and juice and ingredients are mixed of different foods. 1. Juice was tasteless which is wired as there was huge meet piece but the juice was like boiled tomato paste and not at all trace of that huge meat taste. 2. The huge meet piece seems a remaining from other food like Baghali polo ba Mahiche . If you notice in the snapshot in traditional Dizi the meat piece are vey small with some small fats . The meet is look like taken from other food . 3. Tomatoes seems came from Gheimeh as well. 4. And finally due to the poor quality and taste although we just were able to eat part of the first one and throw out the remaining and 2nd completely still don’t feel healthy well . I am very sorry to put this comments however I believe honest feedback will help to improve the quality finally or at least warn people to select maybe other food option of this restaurant such as Kebabs to avoid ruining their dream of Persian Dizi.

The price is expensive compared to what you get. They definitely do not use Saffron in their rice, instead they use some artificial yellowish colors. Even its color as shown in the photos is more orange than gold. Iranians used to have Saffron in their meals on a daily basis. So, it is easy for us to taste and smell it. The rice itself is super low quality. It smells bad. We had a similar type back in Iran that we called Indian rice which was the cheapest option. Their rice was the same. Overall, comparing their price with nearby Persian supermarkets, I would say they use much lower quality ingredients but impose higher prices. Chicken kebab (Jooje Kebab) was good without considering the rice. Barg kebab was also acceptable. Unfortunately, they didn't meet my expectations and I will not come back here.

The food here is really good overall! The soup is top-notch, and the marinated chicken was flavorful and well-prepared. However, I have to mention the BARG—it was extremely smelly and not marinated properly. The meat itself was tender, but the strong lamb smell was overwhelming, making it very unpleasant to eat. Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. I also think the customer service could be improved; a bit more warmth and attentiveness would make the experience even better. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the food, but I do NOT recommend the barg at all. Hopefully, they can improve the marination and preparation in the future. (Attached a picture—we ate everything except the barg because it was just too bad.)

Ok lets write another review for Tabriz. (You can read my previous reviews below from a year ago.) With my coworkers we have been frequenting at this take out place and have recommended it to many people. Lately, I don't know what has changed (ownership? management? but the quality of food has dramatically dropped. Hence I take my 4 star in the past and move it down to 1. The problem with the sides still persists. Still you have to ask for onion and for utensils to be added !! Last week I ordered for 10 people and when I arrived at my place I realized they have not added utensils. The staffs are friendly but the most important items, service and quality of food are horrible.

A year ago review….

Let’s be fair and give them 4stars for the quality of their foods, though today was the only time I was disappointed with their chicken breast. Otherwise every other time I visited the place both food quality and the price is much better than similar take out places across city. constructive feedbacks: Pls remove items that you say you are not serving for the past few months from your menu. For their front line to be more active. When a client places order pls prepare everything completely. I remember I had to ask for utensils in past, and a time like today when I was rushing I realized it’s not on my order till I got to work. The same goes for the sides (somak, onion, pop, ...) pls have them ready for clients & be generous about it. This does not take you much time to prepare them but it goes long way in your...

I tried ordering directly from Tabriz for a group of 10. They do have a website but no menu. The website takes you to Uber Eats in order to place an order. At the Uber Eats website they only list individual meals. You cannot adjust your order so that you can order for a large group and have the Kebobs served separately from the rice and salads. I tried calling the restaurant directly but whoever answered the phone did not speak much English. He passed the phone to someone who told me to use Uber Eats to order. I would have been happy to order over the phone and pick the food up. We ended up ordering using Uber Eats. It was really not satisfactory for a group of 10. The food was split in multiple containers with each container having one or two kebobs and a huge amount of rice that was wasted. Also the kebobs juices leaked all over the underlying rice. The salad was very basic lettuce and a couple of cherry tomatoes. The kebobs were good though. It was way overpriced considering most of the meals consisted of rice. I am sure using Uber Eats inflated the price significantly. A catering company without a menu and the ability to cater to a large group is rather inadequate. I do not know how you can call yourself a catering company and just rely on Uber Eats without a menu on...

On Monday, April 22 at 14:10 My family (my pregnant wife and son) and I went for lunch to the restaurant. We ordered 2 foods and a drink and because there was no place to sit we had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated. During this time we notice that we were charged for a soup which we did not order! I to the chaser who was an old man! In response he said you have to take the soup otherwise we do not give you any food. I asked him why? He simply said we do not have food for you!! Anyway, I told him why?! I just said refund the fee and I will complaint because of your unprofessional behavior! He said you can do whatever you wish! My wife was pregnant and hungry. My son was also hungry! I did not discuss with them because it was not appropriate but I want immediate action for this bad behavior. why should we wait for 30 minutes and then they refuse to serve us simply because of asking why we were charged for something which we did not want?! The restaurant usually serves free soup for the number of the foods you order. He said we do not give you food because you do not want to pay for the third soup! I told him we do not want the soup at all!!! Why should we pay! Finally, he said we do not have food at all! I was...
