So today I went into the bank. Hoping to receive equitable treatment but this was the opposite.
I went in to change my pin because I hadn't used the card in a store for quiet some time. When I entered, EVERY STAFF cleared the counter service area and there was a very long line up behind me. It immediately went from 4/5 staff. To only two. So I waited. I was called next. I explained to the man that I did not remember my passcode. He told me to insert my card. I complied.
This is when things went south. The man was trying to ask me for ID. I presented a Government Issue ID of my health card. He said that was not ID....and that I needed my drivers license.
Interesting enough. I got my initial TD account on my health card and that was when my health card was red and white and showed no facial verification.
He tried to convenience me that there was no other options for me to change my pin other than my drivers license. I knew that was false. So I called TD bank fully ready to give up on TD all together. The man on the phone was kind, I told him what was happening. and he suggested I go back with him on the phone. I went back in he guided me on what to say and ask about the other options available.
It was easy.. I simply needed things to be sent to my phone and bingo bango. new pin.
If it wasn't for that man speaking with me, I can guarantee, I would of emptied my account that day and remove myself from TD all together.
There is a way for even homeless people to have a TD bank card and not have a Drivers License. Being in the Social Service Worker Field. I have personally taken homeless people to government agency to get health cards and bank cards without this level of upheaval.
The audacity of this man, his colleagues and this firms foolishness and behaviour is astounding. He made a simple request into a escapade, trying to make a normal day...

I went there and went to teller and He said he need the form to submit this that I was not aware as another branch told me you can just come in and we can deposit your Tax owing. So He said NO we can’t do that then I called Manager thinking that she might have knowledge but she said Same. Today I went to another branch I went there no document nothing she guided me how I can add payee to pay my tax owing next time and she smoothly did my tax owing just selecting a dropdown from her TD system to pay my tax own.
I don’t know who hired them or they didn’t have knowledge. Moreover this branch’s manager also not knowledge. Because of them my 3-4 days get wasted.
So guys please don’t go to this branch if you want proper solution as their staff and specially manager are not knowledgeable and...
Read moreThe staff of the bank are okay. But what got me upset was that I left my thermos flask which had my natural remedy . I went back about an hour after realizing I left it at the teller. By the time I went back the bank had been closed. I called the following day only to find out the cleaners threw it away. I was so upset. Not even 24 hours passed and you'd think these people would have enough sense to know somebody will ask the next businesses day. It may seem stupid for some but when you're already struggling financially and cost OF things are going UP it can be stressful. Esp when i used it for a chronic condition. They do not even sell this item anymore and any thermos they do sell is too expensive right now.
TD pleaae tell your cleaners to WAIT for a decent time before deciding to throw items away assuming it's not wanted when it is. We all have our days and forget things leaving...
