Negative stars if I may. Decided to try this place, should have turned back seeing 0 orders/customers in the store. The attendent probably the owner was playing a tv show as loud as the tv would allow, it shows how much attention he puts in while at work. Decided to order 2 pizzas on a combo price and when I was placing the order I am told the prices have gone up by $2-3. Not a deal breaker but the menus or the price chart didn't reflect the price increase. He should have honoured the listed price anyway but I decided not to make a fuss on the 2 bucks since local businesses are going through a tough time given covid.
Here's what promopted me to write a review. The pizza was absolutely trash. The chicken was raw, veggies were cut oversized and it had turmeric in it. I don't know about changing pizza trends but I am certainly not used to turmeric pizza. Overall, the product, the store and the service sucked at the lowest of a measurable scale. Any experimentation with this place is highly not recommended. Save your $20 bucks eat a big of chips or frozen pizza instead.
When you decide to charge more than whats listed on the menu, make sure your service is up to the minimum acceptable standards at least and your product is prepared thoughtfully. Since that is absolutely everything that went into this experience and it was comparable to garbage so I am never going...
Read moreWe (my family and our friends) just ordered: 2 pizzas, papadum, garlic naan, paneer naan, both of the samosas, paneer pakoras, butter chicken, chana saag, malai koffta, and chicken tikka... I know, that sounds like a lot. I was! But... It was soooo worth it! Everything was amazing! Pizza... Soft dough with a delicious crispy shell. It doesn't matter what toppings you get, with a base that good you can't go wrong (we had the meat lovers and the Dunbar ultimate) Papadum... Thin and crispy with just enough flavor that you don't think you are eating a chip or something. Pikoras... Spiced with out being spicy. So good! Samosas... Filled with flavor and the soft yet flakey dough, like their pizzas... Well worth adding two to your order. Butter chicken... Deeelicious! Chana Saag... Wonderful! Malai Koffta... The sauce was amazing and the koffta were soft and a perfect balance to the rest of the dishes. Chicken tikka... Roasted to perfection. I know I must sound crazy, but I am lying in a hammock after eating my belly full and wanted to make sure if anyone was new to the area, just visiting for the weekend like we are, or just have never tried the place, don't hesitate. True chefs working their magic. Ok... Off to...
Read moreHorrible horrible food. It's ironic that for a place that claims to have the "best butter chicken in Vancouver", it was probably the worst I ever had anywhere. We ordered very basic food - daal, butter chicken, tandoori rotis, and paranthas - nothing fancy about it, and there is a certain quality to be expected - but this place royally goofed up this simple food. The daal was fine, but the butter chicken had a sweet rich gravy that tasted very artificial and lacked any depth of flavour, and the chicken pieces were too hard to eat. The worst part was probably the rotis (see the attached photo). I don't know what they were made of, but I have never tasted anything like it before. They were TOO hard to chew, and got harder when they cooled down - we could not even break them easily. To top it off, they tasted horrible. We're generally very particular about wasting food, but we could not help but throw away what was left, which was more than half of the food! And as I'm writing this, my stomach is hurting.
We had a terrible experience and would not...
