Dinner reservations for 730pm on Saturday....at first decor looks nice but table seating is very tight, not comfortable. Service is barely there. Waitress never acknowledged empty tea glasses. Starter (fried soft shell crabs) came only at the end after we were practically done with our rice and noodles dishes. We came here very excitedly expecting excellence based on the 4.8 stars reviews....but you know it, this is one of those places where the reviews did not match up at all. Food was more like fast food quality but prices are higher than the average. At about 8pm, the waitress tells us last call and worse, still no attention to my empty glass who I had no choice but to ask her for refill. Dining prices like in this place should have either really amazing food or service or both, and tonight I found lacking. When we finished, was waiting to see if we can get the bill and also another refill of tea...wishful thinking.. waitress was behind her counter with her head down for a whole 12min....I don't normally post negativity but coming from Calgary and relied on the reviews and wholly dissapointed in food taste and service. And I don't mind paying higher than average prices (like Oku sushi in Gastown, totally worth it!!!!$$$$). Oh, and tables were so tight, that the table next to us was not occupied (had a reserved sign on it) but the the table next to it had 6 people so tightly huddled to have their meals on a 4 person table was just uncomfortable to watch. Same as the table next to them, 5 people huddled tight. They could at least grouped the empty table next to us with the table of 6. If the food was amazing I would have bypass the service issues, but again...fast...

A happy discovery of a hidden gem!
I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Thai flavours here in Vancouver. Every dish we tried was delicious, but my personal favourite was the Thai Braised Whole Pork Hock, tender yet still a little chewy, with a perfectly balanced sauce that paired so well with rice.

We also tried the pomelo salad, which was such a treat since not many Thai restaurants in Vancouver serve it. Refreshing, bright, and full of flavour. The beef and chicken satay were equally tasty, well-seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly perfect to enjoy with a cold beer.

The chef and staff were friendly and thoughtful. Since I went with two young kids, they kindly reminded us that the boat noodles might be a little spicy and even offered to prepare a milder version for them. That small gesture really stood out.

As someone who loves spicy food, I couldn’t get enough of their house-made chili sauce, it was so good I asked if they sold it (sadly, it’s only made in-house!).

Overall, the food and service made for a really enjoyable experience. A nice bonus, parking on that street was easy, which is always a relief when dining out with kids.

I visited on a Thursday around 5:30 p.m. and got a table right away, but by 6:00 p.m. the place was full. Next time, I’ll probably make a...

Went to this newly open Thai restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday last weekend. The restaurant is small but very well decorated. The staff are welcoming.

We ordered a lot of food that night.

Pemelo salad - this is a must try. It was refreshing and the prawns are huge.

Raw shrimps - the shrimps were fresh and the dipping sauce was amazing!

Tom yum is another must try - they used a lot of aromatic ingredients like lemongrass, lime leaves and galangal and the soup was rich and very well balance with spiciness, saltiness and tanginess. They even used fresh straw mushrooms which are not very common in local market.

Thai braised pork leg - the meat was so tender and the pork skin just melted in your mouth.

Boat noodles were another hit on the table - the broth was rich and very flavorful.

Thai volcano ribs - this was the highlight of the night. The ribs were tender and juicy.

I really appreciated the attention to details from the plating to garnishes. The chef found out my mom can’t really eat spicy food and he specially made a non-spicy dipping sauce for my mom. The sauce was a bit to the vinegary side and it was quite nice to go with the seafood and meats.

I would love to try their curry but our stomach can only fit that much. Will definitely...

Expecting this restaurant since I heard there's Thai restaurant opened by Hong Kong people. There are so few Thai restaurants which provide boat noodle including this one. So we came here for lunch. The overall dining experience is so great! For the food, you can feel the chef focuses on quality and details. We ordered boat noodle (of course, we came for this), Pork Knuckle rice, and Curry Shrimp rice. The boat noodle is fantastic! The soup is so great. The radish totally absorbed the soup and you can taste the soup with the great sweetness of raddish in every bite. The noodle is so detailed that they put tiny Pork belly cube in it, so you can feel the great balance of soft and crispy Pork cube in every sip of the soup. The home made chilli oil is so great! The Curry Shrimp rice and the pork Knuckle rice are also great! And I love the Thai milk tea with great balance of sweetness and taste of milk. We know that the dinner sessions are fully book so we visited the restaurant during lunch time. A Must visit restaurant!
