Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Vancouver

I always do my best to leave good reviews, but I absolutely cannot leave a good review for this DQ location. I have visited this location many times and there has always been issues with my order. Myself and my boyfriend usually order blizzards, and we've always had issues with underfilling or it not being made correctly.

Today when we went there was a huge hole in the middle of my boyfriend's ice cream. The picture isn't clear because of the lighting but it went all the way down to the bottom of the cup - this wasn't a hole made by the spoon, as the spoon was too small to fit in this giant hole. We went back and asked if it could be refilled just a bit, we were given the response that 'that's just how the machine makes it'. All we would've liked was the ice cream that we paid for, rather than an underfilled cup. It seems like it was made in a complete hurry and without consideration.

I gave two stars because this location does seem to have great cleanliness which is a huge plus. I'll update my review in the future if the situation with underfilling ice cream improves...

Love this specific location. I used to live here and Simon, the owner, is so lovely that my family and I keep returning even though it's quite far from us now.

Service has always been excellent and the staff are always spot on with their recommendations. I also find that they are more accommodating with special requests for adding items to their blizzards etc than other locations (one once refused to make a chocolate strawberry milkshake even after the server easily rung it up in the till - the manager there basically told us it was impossible and we had to buy 2 milkshakes and mix them ourselves). If you have the chance and also love chocolate and peanut butter, try asking for the Dunbar (the street it's located on). It's a local favorite by the residents...

Just wanted to give a shout out to all the DQ lovers out there! This place is seriously cute and quaint, with fast service and a family-run vibe that's hard to beat. The staff is always excellent, making it the perfect spot for a quick grab without any annoying line-ups. And hey, if you're not into waiting, just DoorDash it and keep your complaints to yourself, right? No bad-mouthing my favorite DQ! It's all about the delicious ice cream and chili dogs here, so if you're craving chicken or a burger, head on over to Fatburger. This is DQ, not a food buffet, after all! Kudos to this friendly family business for always keeping us...
