I love it when people are educated and informed about what problems they can solve themselves, I don't like being blatantly lied to for profit. I've worked in the mobile industry, I know what is required for most procedures, I just don't have access to the databases needed.
I was hoping my returning business was worth more, but when the sales person tells me it's going to be $25-40 then thinks about it, shifty eyed reconfirms $30-40 because I'm dressed too well to not bleed money out my wrists, I'm offended. Don't lie to me with your hand flailing crazy tales of 'new software updates can relock the phone' or 'it might take longer for the software to unlock the phone'.
Unlock codes online are $10 a pop, the phone is nearing 3 years old and you either have the codes or you don't. Just take the IMEI and cross reference it to your acquired databases and an accompanying 8 digit unlock code comes with it.
This place isn't bad. I love love love the two technicians, the older and younger brown gentlemen. Read moreI went to have my phone repaired. They looked at it and determined it could be repaired. They are the EXPERTS, right? I paid 190$. Used the phone for a few days and the same problem occurred. I went back to ask for help and they told me that if I wanted it repaired I had to pay another 190$. No action to look into why the first repair did not work and no offer to make amend for a lousy job. They even implied that I damaged it myself again. No accountability whatsoever. But yet they have this beautiful quote on their wall “A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption on our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider on our business. He is a part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.” WHAT A LIE!!!!! I would say that money was more important to them than me as a customer. Read moreThis place is amazing! I ljterally walked in the front door after I heard about them from a friend who said they were the best place in town! I needed to get my badly destroyed screen for my LG Google Nexus 5 replaced, they said "Yep, no problem" gave me a quote for $10 less than what the other cheapest repair at any of the other repair places quoted me! I told them I would come in the next day to pick it and they said it would be done for sure for the morning ... Then 45 minutes after I physically left the store, I get a call and an email saying my phone is all ready to be picked up! I couldn't believe it, that was f*ing quick!
Super friendly staff, very quick turn around time, phone feels like it's brand new! (Well I guess technically, half of it is! LOL) ... I'm so happy my friend let me know about this place! He wasn't lying, it is THE best cell phone repair shop in Metro Vancouver! They just gained a loyalist for life!
