I ordered a California roll and it had cucumber in it but my fault for not asking them to remove them, the roll was nothing special but not too bad either , would have liked fresher avocado. Wakame seaweed salad was normal I guess, if anything not a big order but pretty standard compared with most I have had but I would have liked a bigger order. The vegetable udon ok I guess. I would have liked more pickled ginger but I didnt ask so again my bad. I probably wont go back though on account of the service. I was ordering take out and having to wait for the guy in the front (who had filthy shoes) and he was gabbing away on the phone, I patiently waited and he came back and gave me attitude that I was keeping him from doing his job and he made some reference to his boss being cheap and not hiring more help as a reason for his curt behavior. I thought the menu items to be average to the upper side of cost and the food to be average to the lower side of quality. I quess it wasnt that bad but I dont like getting excuses or being pushed to hurry up from servers who are interupting me. I dont know whose fault it would be and I dont care I dont want to pay over 20$ for a meal and feel dissed like some guy on the bus or something, I am the customer and should be shown the benfit or respect not me feeling that I am inconvenienceing them. The foods average for sushi but I will go elsewhere in future, they need to tighten up thier act otherwise they will just keep getting bad reviews. One good thing though is that they seemed to have a very wide variety of Korean and Japanese and they service wasnt too slow, I give it 2 stars and I think if they get more helpers and tighten up the ship they could bring it...

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The girls that served me were very polite and willing to serve. What I mean is that you don't have to wait half an hour or 15 minutes to get attended to if for example one needs a second glass of water or tea, there is atleast 2 or 3 that will check up on you often so you don't need to call on them unnecessarily. The gentlemen that did my order was very friendly and very polite. The food food thusly was very delicious and very tasty. The prices were awesome and very reasonable. The restaurant was very clean and maintained well in the way a relaxing meal should be enjoyed. The washroom was very clean and maintained well. The music was very fitting for the mood. I used to work in a family run restaurant and the owner had no clue whatsoever about the perfect music to play. I enjoyed my dining experience here. I highly recommend this place for anyone who just wants to unwind and be happy with the meal at the same time. This was my first time here and I look forward in coming here again soon. I found it cute that the girl that served me ran after me because I have over paid the bill by $20. I said to her that it is her tip. She was very appreciative. I made a promise to myself to not give high tips anymore. But the tip last night was based on the quality of services I received from them. The staff were also also very deserving and the meal I had reflected on my tip to them. What one gives as a tip is their perogative. I just do it because I enjoy my meal and experience. Thank you so very much for everything and I shall dine here again...

This is a quaint little neighborhood sushi place. The staff were quiet and nice, mostly because they are direct and to the point, with barely any pleasantries.

I had the Tonkatsu Ramen which isn't what you'd expect from a place with Sushi in its name. However, I found it hard to order sushi from a single-sheet laminated menu with only a small handful of photos. Their special rolls look nice and they could warrant another visit.

The ramen itself is simple, showing that this wasn't their major focus. The broth was hot enough to taste some depth but it wouldn't be a rival to the major ramen shops across Vancouver. While it was a Tonkatsu Ramen, there were only 2 thin slices of pork. I wonder how this differs from the Miso ramen or others in their menu since the Tonkatsu was the most expensive shy of the spicy option. The egg is well marinated but doesn't fully blend with the ramen itself. The noodles themselves has the al dente chewiness you'd expect from decent ramen. They had 3 strips of Inari tofu that were refreshingly sweet against the backdrop of the rest of the straightforward dish. There is a hint of Korean cuisine throughout this bowl that I believe they can bring out further. It was a decent bowl of ramen. Just don't expect to be wowed because I don't believe that's its intention.

While I can't say that it is memorable for its food or atmosphere, it reminds me of the local small businesses that strive in the community as bigger names come in. Give them a visit if you want something quick and want to continue helping the local small businesses...

Great quick sushi. On the higher end of quality! They are closed between 330 and 430. Kudos to the business for giving their staff a break. They definitely deserve it! I ordered the beef Sukiyaki Don and it was just missing a little bit of the sauce and the crunchy tempura bits this time. They were on a break so I didn't want to disrupt them (break time is sacred to the restaurant staff. It's very rare it happens unless you close the restaurant!). I'm so great full they allowed me to sit and eat my food with them. I'm going to come back next week after my finals are over to give them another try. It could've been an off day. Still 5 stars though even with the mishap because I know next time will be super good. I was able to get a bit of the sauce on the way out 👍👍👍

Super tasty sushi. Both the meat and vegetable gyoza were awesome. The sashimi was wonderfully fresh - I really loved the mackerel. The rice rolls had inventive fillings and the ingredient combinations just worked really well. The visual presentation is also top notch, and sushi pieces don't fall apart (that's important!). It's a busy place in normal dining hours (may need to wait five minutes or so to be seated) but service was quick and friendly; all orders are delivered correctly and well spaced out. I realise Vancouver must be spoiled for choice with sushi but I still think it's a great example of a sushi restaurant, and a filling dinner for one can be had for under $25.
