I usually don’t post reviews on anything but I felt that Golden Hand Jewellery deserves a review for how outstanding their service is along with the beautiful jewellery they offer in their store. After dealing with them on some work needed on a Diamond ring (due to wear and tear) I realized I would never go to another jeweller in Winnipeg other than Golden Hand Jewellery. One year later and I am a very happy and always satisfied client.
Last summer they designed an initial pendant for a gold chain which I wanted to give my daughter, as a wedding gift, of her new last name. They immediately did a sketch to ensure it was the proper font and size that I wanted and made it in time for her wedding in Toronto. She absolutely loved it. Dorota was fabulous in advising me on things I hadn’t even considered to make sure it was made to perfection.
Just recently I purchased a very special ring and had alot of questions, on colour, clarity, etc. Megan assisted me the entire time and dealt with me with such professionalism and patience. She showed me various products giving me honest opinions on items and treated me with so much respect. Thank you Megan on your excellent assistance. I’ve had so many compliments on the ring.
I have also purchased gold chains, had bracelets shortened and even had a bracelet restrung. They do it all and you will never be disappointed with the workmanship of their goldsmiths or the advice of their staff. They’re prices are very reasonable plus you are dealing with knowledgeable professionals who are properly trained in the industry which is a bonus.

Read moreI thought about this review for a long time but it's necessary. Had 2 custom pieces made. I decided to get a border and my pendant and was told the edges could be diamond cut. When picking up the pieces they had forgot to diamond cut it, went to the back to the jeweler and he explained it wasn't possible to do that cut without leaving a space around the edge of the border. Mess up number 1: They will tell you they can do something before the sale then after tell you they can't. I would have not had it made by your guys If the professionals told me before hand or I would have skipped on the border(extra money only installed on the fact they said they can properly diamond cut the edges). Instead I'm left unhappy with how it looks, I tried explaining this in then store and was ignored by the owner, she actually ignored me and starting talking to a co worker. ? I own my own company and I could never haha
Mess up number 2: They are not great at custom work, from afar and pictures the work will look good. I have 2 pendants- 2 very clearly different level of skill- made by 2 different people. One is slaughtered with marks all over the pendant and terrible quality of attaching the star to the pendant, the other looks very nice but not without its flaws but its super acceptable- you can tell the person had some actual skill and care. If you are any sort of picky person who cares about really quality work or having a company who is willing to fix the mistakes they made consider getting other quotes...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst company I've dealt with. I ordered a set of upper grills which I was really excited to get only to receive them made on somebody else's bottom teeth!!! When I contacted the company to talk about this, they promised me two sets of grills to make up for their mistake. Instead, they only sent me one and then didn't respond to my messages when I asked where the second set was. They make promises that they dont actually mean. Do not trust this company to make anything for you.
update A few key details: The grills were not confirmed to fit, as stated in text messages and via phone call, they need to be adjusted. As for the "miscommunication" with your staff, that is not my fault your employees are lying to customers about how they can resolve issues. Also, had we known that your goldsmith barely has a year of experience making grills, we would have chosen to go else where to have our grills made. We were assured, in person that there would be no issues. I would gladly accept a full or partial refund, or the second set of grills, as promised, but since you are not willing to find any resolution that suits you instead of the customer, I feel that the public needs to know what issues could arise should they chose to go...
