NEVER buy anything from Leon's!!!!!!!!
I ordered furniture from them back in October 2016, it never arrived on time, I cancelled my order which they approved and said I would just have to pay the Desjardins processing fee of under $90. I thought this was quite ridiculous considering, so I refused to pay as I never received any furniture, never received any money from Desjardins or this "card" they said I would receive in the mail. Leon's told me I would need to receive the card in order to officially cancel this. I called Desjardins and Leon's COUNTLESS times to get this card to finalize this thing and NEVER received it. Desjardins told me they didn't even have an account under my name, address OR SIN number! Leon's wouldn't do much to help me, and said it was between me and Desjardins. Desjardins would send me to Leon's to fix the issue and back and forth. It was both Leon's AND Desjardins issues to help me fix!
YEARS later after being HARASSED by Desjardins, I finally said I would pay the fee of LESS THAN $90, if they would STOP harassing me and fix my credit as this was their fault. They promised me they would, in writing in March of 2019. So I sent off the cheque by mail (which was extremely inconvenient) and was told by Desjardins that my credit was fixed.
FAST FORWARD to today, June 10th, 2019 when I am trying to get a loan at the bank. Well guess what, I was rejected because I have 3 accounts not paid with DESJARDINS!? So now this is costing me money, and I have to wait a month for an investigation to take place to dispute my credit.
I NEVER HAD MY HANDS ON ANY FURNITURE, LOAN, MONEY OR MYSTERIOUS CARD!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Leon's or take a "loan" which you will not have access to from Desjardins unless you want to be HARASSED for years (over less than $90 which shouldn't even have been paid in the first place!) and SCREWED OVER on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I went in they greeted me fine. Was looking at bed a new bed tried a few but needed soon not in a month. They had one that I like and was in stocked. Told them I would take it but also wanted a sofa. So we went to look at the sofa and the one we wanted would not be in till may and they would not sell the floor model. Then why have it in the floor if you canāt get it for month was one item that irritates me. Then we did pick one from the ones that was in stock. Went to pay and he then said oh the other lady just sold that mattress you wanted. But we have another one in. Stock for 250$ more or we can get on in full not queen or you will have to wait till March. I said that that was bait and switch because they probably never had them in stock and assume I would wait for other to come in. Like who wants to wait months then to find out that itās going to take longer. Who wants to wait months for furniture while they have it on the floor. Told them if you tell someone you have it in stock then tell them when you go and pay that oh we just sold it when no one was in the store is bait and switch. Leonās have the worst service. Last time they claimed bankruptcy in Kentville and I had to wait months to get My furniture and said that I would try yarmouth but bait and switch stuff got me irritated. I will never go there again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in mid August to look at couches. Sales guy was super helpful and got us a print off to check sizing at home. Took the weekend to think it over then called and put in a deposit over the phone. They ended up billing us the full amount, not just a deposit. The delivery has been pushed back from beginning of September to now potentially end of October. Called today to see if we can get an update if we have an exact delivery date yet (seeing as weāre almost into October), they said theyād have to check and give us a call back, when they did call back it was only to tell us weād have to wait till their purchaser is in next week and theyāll call us to let us know.
(The same guy that gave us the measurements ended up giving us a partial refund, which is the only reason this isnāt a one star. As at least that money can be put to work elsewhere while weāre waiting.)
Why Iām leaving a review: Discovered today, after getting annoyed and doing some calling around, another Leonās has the exact couch we want and was able to give us an exact delivery date of October 30th (no call backs etc just a brief hold under 2 minutes) Kinda wished Iād shopped around to begin with as Iād likely have a couch by now. So for those that donāt want to wait 5-10 weeks with hit or miss service there are...
