I visited this lounge last year during a four hour layover in HK. The space is well thought out and designed. There s plenty of seats in all sections and it never felt half full. The food idea is nice, collaborating with outside restaurants and hotels for their sit down dining menu. I was pleasantly surprised that they were collaborating with the Rosewood hotel for their tasting menu. However, the food tasted very generic and was underwhelming, not what you would eat in a Rosewood hotel. I added a wagyu burger and found that to be the best tasting item from the menu. However, you could order a much better quality and tasting burger from beef and liberty in the airport. The service in the dining area is very disorganized. When a rush of people came in after 5pm, i waited an eternity to receive my food. I also got the wrong dish and one dish was forgotten. Even with the rush, the dining area was under 75% full. The spread of bites, snacks, and desserts spread out around the lounge is quite expansive and tasted good. The wine and liquor list was nothing special and about the quality of wines you’d see on an average intl business class flight. They do have a bartender there but he doesn’t man the bar if that area is fairly empty. I suspect mixing drinks is not his full time responsibility there as the cocktails were just passable. The 15 minute massage was mediocre and short. Its nothing special and ends just when you re starting to relax. The shower rooms are spacious, very clean, and very well designed. They also have individual day rest area/cabanas. There are curtains at the enterance to each cabana, so it feels like your own private room. However, the sense of privacy also creates an environment where kids start yelling and people start chatting and forget this is a quiet rest area. It doesn’t help that behind the doors of this area is a staff area, so you also hear the staff chatting very loudly. Its a very nice idea and addition to the lounge, however there is no peace and quiet in this area. Dont plan on being able to get any sleep in this area unless you have noise canceling headphones. Overall, its a nice lounge if you have a layover in HK airport. But if i was flying out from HK, I would definitely have a meal and drink in the city before heading to the airport and...

This is the lounge you should spend all your time in. The wing seems to be a poorer cousin of this lounge in terms of environment as well as food.

For those of you with access to this lounge, you’d probably want to budget at least 4-5 hours minimum as the time passes by too fast.

The ala carte dining was great. Service is top notch and the wait staff is sensitive to your needs, serving the multi-course meals efficiently and politely as well. My menu and food was after the change of catering. Quickly is excellent although I have not been to the lounge prior. I had a wantan mee, slow cooked lamb-shank, chocolate tart, double boiled soup.

The free massage is a big bonus especially ahead of a long flight. But the queue for the service is long and the wait on average is over an hour. I would proceed to the private retreats to do plane spotting, charge my digital devices and get a bit of shut eye.

Thereafter followed by a shower. Even though you can try the cabana suits at the wing, is too far of a walk back and forth (trains go one way) to make it worth it.

Then if you still have time, you can go have a quick bite at the well-stocked pantry and some booze before its...

Slightly better and much prettier than the Wing, but unfortunately till completely overcrowded lounge. What stood out was the crowded restaurant (we had to wait quite a while to get a table) and the spa (four hour wait!!!) The food options were pretty lame, the buffet on the same level as an average business lounge in Europe, and the sit down restaurant food was simply bad. As a paying First Class customer to compete with all of One World's frequent fliers who have access for seats, food, spa and showers is not luxurious at all. Don't understand why a premium airline does not offer a lounge for First Class passengers like Lufthansa, Swiss, Singapore Air do. They seriously need to limit the number of frequent fliers in the lounge and improve the food to make this a premium experience.

Cathay also makes sure to announce rules and policies for the lounge like not allowing people to make calls or watch movies on their devices without headphones, but when asking them to enforce it, no one takes actions. People watch movies on tables with the volume turned up and staff simply does not care....

Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge is a very high end lounge. From the time that you enter the lounge they take you to the dining room to have a meal. We had a Wagyu burger and beef Boulanger both of them very tasty and good flavor. We also had a foot massage in the same lounge.

Quiet, lowslung, chill, and, did I mention, Quiet? This is the lounge out by Gate 63 (out in the Northwest Concourse). There is also a First Class lounge out by Gate 1 called The Wing - the difference is that The Wing is an open-area on the mezzanine level. Broadly speaking, they both have the same amenities, with the differences being • Location: d-uh • Noise levels: You get the crowd noise in The Wing from people walking by downstairs - which may, or may not, be your thing (it *is* more lively). OTOH, it is far airier, with the roof being the airport roof. The Pier is enclosed, at the lower level, with no crowd noise, but the ceiling is around 10 ft or so All that said, they both have excellent bubblies (currently Moet Rose, and Rothschild Brut), great dining (the wonton soup is *stellar*, but, in fact, so is pretty much everything else!), and plenty of uncrowded seating areas. When you get bored, wander around the airport - it's easy to walk a mile or so, just by going from one end of the airport to the other, which should give you a little oomph to come back and chill in the lounge
