Fan Straight Lane 凡直友里 is a restaurant and bar in the heart of Yuen Long, with a long and narrow layout as the name suggests. It is a place better for after work drinks, day long catch-ups with friends. The French Fries underneath get their meltingly soft interior and crisp crust on the outside. I recently went to this awesome resto with a friend. The menu offered a range of Western dishes, including soup, salad, pizza, and even skewers. We tried the pumpkin cream soup and the grilled Australian Black Angus sirloin steak with red wine sauce, which were both delicious and tender. We also enjoyed the Spanish black pork steak with apple mustard sauce and the Malay-style stir-fried vegetables with curry powder. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially since they have live music on Wednesdays and Sundays.

I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant if you are not Chinese. The staff exhibited discriminatory behavior, speaking rudely and serving us late simply because we were not locals. I ordered a Turkish shisha, which was listed on the menu, but the shisha maker claimed it was out of stock and insisted on selling me a more expensive premium shisha instead. Meanwhile, other patrons were enjoying the cheaper shisha options. The staff were also rude and made unpleasant faces at us. This place is blatantly racist. Avoid it...
