A well-known noodle shop in Yuen Long. Long history of business that can be traced back to a street stall started in the 40's. The essence of their history is well reflected in the traditional interior and menu. Their noodle is produced in their own factory, so in addition to on-site consumption, there are also raw noodles for takeaway. All their products follow their family's traditional recipe, which gave them a classic taste. Their wonton is the traditional pork wonton instead of the more popular shrimp wonton in Hong Kong. Particularly, their shui jiao is the traditional ็‡•็šฎ้คƒ (the wrapping sheet is made with pork, so it can only be used when it is freshly made). Most of the noodle shops in HK serve shui jiao, but not this type. Last but not least, be prepared to share a table. ๐Ÿ˜„ Tips : 1. the serving portion is not really big, so my order is always a wonton noodle plus a "small portion" shui jiao. 2. They have a mezzanine floor, so even if it is very full on the ground floor, you could ask the waitress if there is a seat available upstairs . ๐Ÿ‘

The same Chan family operates this wonton noodle place since 1946. They are not only famous in Yuen Long but also in other part of HK, though may not be as popular as the Mak's.. At $32 a bowl for a smallish wonton noodles, it's above average price but you get what you paid for. Ingredients are tops including soup, noodles are made by their own factory. One can definitely taste the difference between them and an average wonton place. From what I can see pandemic restaurant restrictions don't seem to be hurting them much as every table was filled, with flimsy partitions separating strangers on this weekday afternoon. And customers were streaming in buying their raw wontons/noodles and whatnot.
