YATA Supermarket (Tseung Kwan O) — Local services in Hong Kong

Those were the days when Haagen Daaz was respected as an expensive icecream, but not anymore!

Practically everywhere you go, any so called softserve or icecream claiming to be from Japan is going to cost more than $30.

It was fate that I had the softserve because they have stopped serving pancakes.

The only thing that is special about this softserve is the appearance with the piping and the cone is different.

Thankfully, it tasted good as it didn't cause me to throw it away.

Although it was palatable, it wasn't the best softserve I have had but it merely tasted like evaporated milk in softserve form that wasn't too sweet.

The cone was really delicate that you had to hold it carefully as it literally crumbles and melts in your mouth like a thin cookie shaped into a cone..

Can't read Japanese so don't know what...

Consists of high-end stuff but beware of anything imported from China, coz ya know how contaminated the country is with fake eggs, oranges, baby formula and gutter oil. I've in fact elicited bogus Chinese stuff in my thesis so I hold the proof and not merely bluffing. My advice is that if you do enjoy high-end products that focus on QUALITY, check out grocery stores like Mark & Spencer with fresh produce from the UK and DONKI obviously from Japan. Despite UATA housing a multifarious food items, sighting Chinese produce existing makes YAYA no difference from the local regular supermarkets like Wellcome and Park shop, then why bother spending so much when there are...

I loved this Yata supermarket; it's not expensive, well-designed, and pleasing to stroll around. Japanese products were amazing, numerous and of great variety. Pleasantly surprised and totally delighted. Oh, one more thing: free parking...
