This is a hotel which I will remember for the rest of my life. There's no cavernous 30 meter atrium and lobby; there's no attentive well-suited concierge (in fact there's none to greet you on your arrival); there's no heated swimming pool or well-equipped gym; there is nothing luxurious or grand to wow you. However, if you are a Martial arts novels fan like me, who have read so much about the quaint little inns that every swordsman and hero resides, this 'hotel' is able to give you the experience. I was brought back hundreds of years back to the past. The hotel is built with as much wood as possible - windows, doors, stairs, railings, decorative panels, furniture. The feeling of agedness fills the air. The dim lighting inside my room and outside in the corridor is welcomed for such weak illumination complements the oldness and serenity of the inn found in so many martial arts novels. Imagine entering a twin/double hotel room and seeing only one bed. And it's a bed not made of wood or brass. It's made of brick and stone. Upon closer inspection, you would discover the bottom of the bed is a 'stove' - which in winter heats up the bed ensuring its occupants a warm snugly sleep. After a night of sound slumber, I exited from my warm comfy room into a chilly refreshing autumn morning faced with a scene so familiar to a swordsman in one of the martial arts novels that I have read. This is a 'hotel' experience...
