QingDao JinShan We Holiday Apt Olympic C — Local services in Qingdao

Chose Jinshan We+ apartment for it's reasonable price. The apartment is surprisely very near the MTR, with shopping centre & supermarket across the street. 7-11 is available right at the footstep of the building. 2 queen sized beds were available in the family suit, with a single sized / child bed that is suitable for petite adults too. There is a kitchen too, with electrical kettle and oven. There is also a toilet with separate bathtub and shower; toiletries are provided for change daily. Areas of improvement: - The apartment is slightly poorly maintained, with a dislodged entrance door that one has to slightly lift it up to close the door. - Poor housekeeping was observed before check-in and during our stay. Kettle was so dirty for usage that we had to purchase detergent and brush to clean it ourselves. There is a fridge, but it is also too dirty for usage. Collections of dust were observed at corners of the unit too. During the daily housekeeping, rubbish were only "rememberedly" emptied. - Poor coordination between check-in counter and cleaning team. Towels were not replaced sufficiently; we had to approach the counter everyday for the missing towels. We are a family of 3, yet only 2 towels...

Location is quite far from the city centre and from all the sights. There's no reception 24hrs so it's quite some hassle when checking in or out, not to mention there's no real assistance on site. No slippers, no drinkable water, no toiletries provided (there was only some shampoo and a piece of soap already used by someone else). Only 2 towels for 2 people. No daily clean up the room (bed was not made up), actually probably not cleaning up at all (check pics: remote all encrusted with dirty, trash found in drawers, ecc.). This was a great tour. The guides, Frank and Alston were knowledgeable and accommodating. On top of that they had a great sense of humour. I read reviews prior to my trip, there were concerns that more time to tour place. We asked for extra time on a couple of occasions and got it. The tours were very well planned and laid out. I understand some of the concerns others have had, but you have to realize the country and the cities are huge and it take time to trave on the highways. I think time was fine. ||The hotels were far better than expected.
