It was a good experience from start to finish. This restaurant and bar was a surprise, and I couldn't be more pleased with what they had to offer.

The restaurant has a cool, modern, and relaxed vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The interior design is chic, with an industrial twist from wooden pallets, and the lighting creates the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience.

The star of the show at Anarkist is undoubtedly the beer selection. The creative fusion of flavors in each poke dish is a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs.

I had the pleasure of trying their poke bowls, and I can't recommend them enough. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was top-notch.

The service at Anarkist was good. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making our dining experience enjoyable. You can sit by a glass wall and see the beers being brewed on the other side of the wall.

They were always ready to offer recommendations and answer any beer questions we had, further enhancing the overall experience.

Solo experience: I came with 4 others and ordered separately (1-2-2 split, just a few minutes apart). From my side, the experience was great, my burger came quickly, tasted good, and everything felt smooth.

Group experience: For the group, though, it was less smooth. We ordered 3 of the same burgers plus sides, but the timing was very uneven. My food came first no side, then the next two with sides after some wait, but the last two meals (with wings and a burger) took over 45 minutes longer than mine. It seemed like the kitchen got overwhelmed, and unfortunately the staff forgot or delayed that last order.

There was also a small mix-up: one order of wings came out with an extra portion that wasn’t ours, which staff later came to take back. That left us wondering what happens if a guest had already started eating it.

Overall: The food itself was good for me, and the place has potential. But for a group, the coordination and communication really need improvement. Even a quick heads-up like “your order will take longer” would have made the wait less...

Quite unexpectedly for a place with very high ceilings and a very open-plan layout, Anarkist is surprisingly intimate. Although we (4 of us) were there on a Thursday night and, apart from a few other tables of guests, had the place virtually to ourselves.

Our host, a friend of ours who lives in Odense, had recommended Anarkist as he knew the chef. It was perfect! the ambiance, the service, the choice and willingness to let us try something before you committed were really remarkable.

The food was gorgeous, portions were generous without being overwhelming and the recommendations for matching local beers (Anarkist is located in a working brewery) were perfect.

I will be in Odense again in March and April and I will be visiting...
