In winter, the Christmas market is a delight to visit. The snowfall during our visit heightened the Christmas and winter feeling.

There were many stalls selling Christmas goodies, glöggi (mulled wine) and local handicrafts. There are many unique local items here that made the visit more interesting.

The market attracted lots of visits but it was not packed and we were able to stroll and look at each stall at a leisurely pace.

We ended our visit at one of the café tents where we had pancakes, hot chocolate, sausages and glöggi. Others were having porridge, salmon soup and other local specialities. The tent was cosy, clean and a nice place to warm up and...

The Tampere Christmas Market (Tampereen Joulutori) at Tampere Central Square (Tampereen Keskustori) is a cozy and well-organized event. It's open this year from November 30 to December 22 and offers a wide array of Christmas and handicraft items, as well as delicious food. All around this square are the different food places and bars (all built in very small cottages) I didn't have time to test all the different food that's offered but I tried some cocktails.
