Ohana Grille — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

Took the KFC burger, sister had the award-winning ohana burger. Quite tasty and wholesome, a tad light, generally i'd say 35% overpriced. For a few items their website advertised lower prices than they actually charged. Chicken was clearly dry with a firm breading, definitely didn't seem like it was made today, but at least it was actual chicken. Went well with the oomphy sauces and good fluffy bread. Burger patty was supposed to be medium, was clearly medium rare, with a sharp 2 mille gradient, core being utterly raw ground beef for 5 mm of a total 17. Although seemingly fresh and safe, low fat beef, it tasted fleshy and mouthfeel was sticky, so we threw most of the burger away. Kitchen staff agreed it was "a bit" rare, with maybe a hint of denial from the head chef, but took it well as a "just so you know". Didn't confront because other customers were present and we didn't really stand to gain anything. Limited beverage selection, understandably. I'll be back to try the fries and their desserts, but the burgers were a disappointment at the medium price point. With a couple € extra you can do so much...

Olen paikan fani ja suositellut heidän burgereita avoimesti, erityisesti o'hana-burger PEKONILLA on ollut loistava. Yksi parhaista koskaan syömistäni. 5/5. Itsetehdyt sämpylät, laadukkaat, läheltä tulleet, tuoreet raaka-aineet, taiten käsin valmistetut ja kasatut ruoka-annokset. Ei ihme, että heidän burgeri on valittu Tampereen parhaaksi, parikin kertaa. Sijainti tunnelmallisessa kauppahallissa sopii yrityksen persoonalliseen imagoon. Sinne on kiva mennä ja helppo viihtyä. Aika kuluu helposti ruokaa odotellessa kun kiertelee ympäriinsä. Kassan ilmoittamat odotusajat pitävät hyvin paikkansa.

Niinpä menin innolla tilaamaan heidän vegaanisen hampurilaisensa tänään. Elementit muuten Ok, mutta se pihvi ei vastannut heidän korkeaa laatutasoa ollenkaan. Oliko kyseessä poikkeustapaus, en tiedä, mutta nyt ei ollut kaikki kunnossa. Pihvi oli suolaton ja muutenkin mauton. Rakenne puuromainen, suutuntuma tahmainen, pehmeä. Olen viime päivinä löytänyt aivan mahtavia vegepihvejä (naughty burger, kauppuri 5) ja niinpä tämä tekele on tuomittava pois jatkosta. Hyviä esimerkkejä siis löytyy, niistä voi oppia. Jos ei ole halua kehittää reseptiä, voisi olla parempi ottaa tälläinen tuote pois listalta pilaamasta mainetta. Jopa Hesellä ja Mäkkärillä paremmat pihvit ja se kertoo paljon!

Ja tämän hampurilais-tyyppisen palautteen lopuksi: Toivottavasti saatte reseptin teidän normaalitasollenne. Silloin myös yksi Suomen parhaista vegehamppareista tulisi O'hana...

It's they year 2021, they still advertise being voted best in town in 2016 and 2017. That should tell you something, and it does. The veggie burger was dry, and fries were mostly just a pile of hard and greasy scraps about 1 cm long. On previous visit the Ohana burger was OK, but nothing to rave about.
