In July, 2025, my husband and I had the privilege of spending a day on a tour of Bordeaux guided by Maud. A level 4 Master Sommelier, Maud managed to be both brilliant and easy-going. She told us about places in Bordeaux, their histories and the traditions of the people who live here. When we talked about picking up souvenirs, she steered us away from the mass produced tourist spots and took us to a small store where locals shop. We invited her to have lunch with us and had an impromptu wine tasting lesson that we seem to reference every time we open a bottle even months later. To walk the beautiful streets of Bordeaux with someone who could reminisce about eating an after school snack in the park we visited together made the tour feel more like spending the day with a very smart friend than a paid guide. Just got back from the most amazing trip to Bordeaux, and honestly one of the highlights was our wine tour with Maud. She was SO sweet, super friendly, and just made the whole day feel fun and easy.

She’s actually a certified sommelier and even makes her own wine! How cool is that?! She explained everything in such a chill, approachable way.

She picked some really great Châteaux for us to visit, beautiful spots with lots of character, and the cheese plate she brought was on point. 😂👌 honestly we did other tours and I think this one had the best selections.

Maud arranged THE most magical day for 6 of us to visit some of the chateaux of Bordeaux on e-bikes. She recommended our hotel, which was perfection itself in St Emilion and she took care of everything. We laughed pretty much all day! Maud chose a perfect selection of vineyards for us to visit and produced the most delicious picnic I’ve ever eaten in my life halfway through. Even including a birthday cake for one of our party.
