A little more now that I'm sober: Bouncer opens the door for 5 seconds at a time, letting in women and couples by default. Okay, standard a-hole bouncer behavior. After waiting for 15 minutes or so, two handsome dudes arrive and get let in immediately, they were foreigners just like me. I try to talk to the bouncer, he keeps telling the other people to wait, but pays no attention to me.

After putting in a lot of effort to get his attention, he said he didn't know English, 5 minutes after he had spoken good English to the two other foreign guys.
