"მდებარეობს ქუთაისის ჩრდილო აღმოსავლეთ ნაწილში, მწვანეყვავილას უბანში.ჯერ კიდევ 140 წლის წინ ნანგრევებს შორის შემორჩენილი იყო ქვა ქართული ასომთავრული წარწერით, რომლის მიხედვით ერთ-ერთი ძეგლი (კერძოდ ბაზილიკური ეკლესია) 1013 წელს აუშენებიათ. ისტორიული წყაროების მიხედვით მწვანეყვავილას მონასტერი წარმოადგენდა გელათის მიტროპოლიტის და იმერეთის მეფის მოძღვრის ზაქარია ქვირიანის რეზიდენციას. ამჟამინდელი გუმბათოვანი ეკლესია აგებულია 1889 წელს ინჟინერ ტარასევიჩის მიერ შედგენილი ტაძრის ახალი პროექტის მიხედვით. ტაძრის მშენებლობა მიმდინარეობდა 1909 - 1913 წლებში, მისი კურთხევა მოხდა 1914 წელს, იგი 1941 წლის ოქტომბრიდან 1944 წლის აგვისტომდე დაკეტილი იყო. 1944 - 1946 წლებში მწვანეყვავილას ეკლესია ქუთაის - გაენათის ეპარქიის საკათედრო ტაძარი იყო." 2006 წელს, პრეზიდენტის ბრძანებულების საფუძველზე, მიენიჭა "ეროვნული მნიშვნელობის კატეგორიის კულტურული უძრავი ძეგლის" სტატუსი.

Accidentally I arrived there. And I found beautiful Riverview point. It was the place of balcony type. The shape of the church was very impressive for me as an Asian. I am still wondering about the religion. Some it was beautiful moment of my life.

Stars are for the views. Churches themselves are only mildly interesting. But after a sweaty walk uphill the breezes blowing through them provide a nice respite!
