Discriminatory and Unprofessional Behavior at Boesner

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at your shop today. During my visit, I attempted to exchange a defective and dry 0.7 mm needle-point tip pen for a new one. Although one of your male salespersons acknowledged the defect and advised me to get a new pen, the replacement I received also did not work.

A female salesperson then attempted to fix the pen by striking the needle-point tip against a paper repeatedly, causing the tip to become squashed. After over 50 attempts, she managed to get the pen to work, but the tip was now damaged, and I requested a new one. At this point, the previous salesman in the back accused me of being rude and told me that I should be thanking the female salesperson instead.

I want to emphasize that I was not rude to the salesperson, and their behaviour was inappropriate and unprofessional. As a customer, it is reasonable to expect a new product to be new and in working condition, and I felt shamed and embarrassed by the treatment I received in front of other customers who were in line.

Furthermore, I want to highlight that anyone who uses a 0.7 mm needle-point tip pen knows that it is a delicate tool used for precision work. The way the female salesperson attempted to fix the pen was unacceptable and ultimately caused damage to the product.

As an immigrant, I cannot help but attribute this experience to discrimination. All customers, regardless of their background, deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. It is concerning that some of your staff do not seem to understand this fundamental principle. I am deeply disappointed by the poor treatment I received and will not be buying from your store again. I bought a metal ruler the other day. In school I was told that I should have bought a wooden one, so today I came back to the shop with the receipt and they didn’t let me exchange the ruler for a wooden one… I found this behave very outdated … not wonder why now a days people stop buying in street shops and only buying online … the policies are too bad!
