I'm in Berlin for only 1 full day, so I wanted to make breakfast count. I spent nearly an hour scouring Maps, and decided this was the best option for what I wanted. I absolutely nailed it 👌🏻
The food was delicious and beautifully plated, the water was cold, and the orange juice is squeezed fresh per order. I hate pulp, but I didn't even care because the juice was so tasty. The coffee was yummy, and they do nice little art squiggles in the foam. A very aesthetic experience.
The staff was super friendly - I believe it's a family-run establishment. I saw 4 people, and they appeared to be parents and their kids. It was nice to see a family-run business where everyone is pulling their weight. The waitress was very kind, I asked her exactly how to pronounce "danke" (I've heard it many ways so I wasn't sure) and she was much nicer than I know some others would have been to help a non-German speaker.
For the pictured meal, plus an extra side of eggs I ordered (came with bread and butter too), it came to €35. Other places I would say it's too expensive, but I was happy to pay that price for the food/atmosphere. If I ever return to Berlin, this will be my go-to spot, and I will recommend to my traveling friends.
My only "complaint" is that the chairs are quite small and high - but I am a somewhat large American used to large seats. If you're average sized, you'll...
Read moreI went to Berlin for 3 days with my best friend, the second day we looked for a bar that offered gluten free options and this bar came up. As an italian I've tried a lot of good food, but trust me when I say that here I've eaten the best croissant I've ever had! Also, my best friend that order a gluten free meal said that it was very good. It is not cheap but the prices are definitely justified by the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the charming employees. After our breakfast we came a second time, and I sincerely hope to come back in Berlin and try once again that...
Read morePromising café place to enjoy a coffee or breakfast at. The place itself is stylish, with some outdoor seats right in front of the main entrance, all located right to a main street and not too far from Volkspark Friedrichshain. Staff is polite, serving all quickly. The espresso machiato & cappuccino were tasty, served with a biscuit and an almond in chocolate, TOP!! Unfortunately, no water was served with the coffees and the prices are far too expensive!! A clear no go and therefore only 3 stars!! In general, an interesting place to have a timeout at....
