I recently had the opportunity of re-visiting this sauna – on a Saturday this time. My impression was that it was not quite as busy as on my previous visits – perhaps as it was rather a cold, dull day. Nevertheless, there were enough people to “go around”!
As usual the Jacuzzi was very popular, so popular that you had wait sometime to get into on occasions. The steam rooms was also very busy as well as the top floor “restroom”.
I also ate again in the restaurant, but found that the food was far too salty.

July 2018 The “Amsterdam" is one of my favourite saunas in Europe. It is such a friendly place and the staff are kind and helpful and make you welcome. All speak English. It is situated in a large semi-detached house with a garden for sunbathing and smoking purposes and is a short walk from Stresermannallee Tram or S-Bahn stops. The changing area is on the ground floor with a staircase leading to the basement wet area. There is a large dark steam room with various dark niches, two saunas, a large Jacuzzi, showers and a cooling-off room leading to the garden. On the first floor there is a bar and restaurant serving food until late. You can have a very good filling meal here for a very reasonable price. On the top floor there are various cubicles and a dark room with a large bed to accommodate about 10-15 people. Much of the action takes place in this dark room and in the general area. The steam room is also very active as well as the Jacuzzi. The clientele are very friendly and chatty and many speak English. Most of the people are of middle-age or older although there are some youngsters who like older men. This sauna is probably not the place for you to go if as a young person you only like other young people. You would be better off in one of the other saunas in Frankfurt. Well worth a visit if this...
Read morePlease overlook the 1-star reviews; they may not fully capture the value this place offers. While it's not the most luxurious, it provides a safe and cost-effective option. As with many similar venues, it might not be extraordinary, but it meets basic expectations. If you're looking for a guaranteed good time, consider visiting...
