Pizzeria Giulio — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Upon entering, you’re warmly welcomed by Xhulio aka Giulio, the enticing aroma of dishes sizzling on the gas stove, pizzas baking in the oven, and a positive vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, serving the guests in an indoor and outdoor area with fully occupied tables. As an appetizer, we were treated to bread, arugula, tomatoes, and sauce.

We ordered the Pizza Formaggio di Capra, a fantastic choice topped with cherry tomatoes, arugula, and the rich flavor of goat cheese perfectly paired with honey. It was finished with thin shavings of Parmesan and a sprinkle of pine nuts for added crunch and nuttiness. A light drizzle of oil and a touch of spices brought everything together beautifully. On the staff’s recommendation, we also tried the Pizza Guilo, which offered a flavorful, savory taste with thin slices of air-dried beef ham, fresh arugula, and cherry tomatoes. Parmesan added depth, while the drizzle of oil and spices enhanced the flavors. Both pizzas featured a golden, slightly crispy pizza crust, and a soft pizza base, providing a satisfying base for the balanced, rich, and fresh toppings.The waiter checked in to see if we liked the recommendation and was very pleased with the positive feedback.

We were lucky to chat extensively before the food arrived, as once the delicious pizzas were in front of us, there was little time for conversation - we were fully devoted to enjoying them! Had a possibility to have a lunch with friends a the bespoke establishment on 08.06.2024, so thought to share my opinion on it:

Pros: great welcoming and a friendly smalltalk with, i assume, the owner/head chef of the place (we had no reservation and were 3 people) some welcome appetizers everything you order is halal best prices you’ll find in both Frankfurt and Offenbach

Cons: flies were everywhere from the moment we got our orders and they never left, so we left the moment we’ve finished with the meal food: • average pizza with under an average dough • ingredients leave a lot to be desired, when eating all the flavors, which there aren’t many, just form a paste in your mouth without any distinguishing notes, even tomatoes and sauce disappear in that mashup • the food we ordered was more like eating to fill your stomach and get on with your day, rather than to enjoy the pleasure of a shared meal with friends/family toilet with a bucket overflowing with dirty paper towels to get a drink we’ve needed to remind a waiter 3 times about our order, after 9 minutes of wait we’ve just went ourselves to the kitchen to peak one up, and only after 7 further minutes one has been served by a waiter, which we’ve just declined cash only, that’s in a place where the nearest bank terminal is 15 minutes away on foot

I find it unfair to rate the place so high, as there are better places, in my opinion, to have a pizza at in both FFM and Offenbach. Worth to mention - those better places, which is based solely on my own subjective opinion, will come with +3/4...

Das kleine Restaurant liegt im Hafengebiet und wirkt von draußen sehr klein und unscheinbar. Die Umgebung ist industriell und nicht gerade schön. Aber wenn man rein kommt, dann betritt man ein kleines gepflegtes Restaurant. Ein sehr herzlicher und offener, junger Chef heißt einen willkommen. Die Pizza fanden wir alle sehr lecker und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angemessen und fair. Die Pizza hat einen nicht zu festen Rand und einen nicht zu dünnen, aber auch nicht dicken Boden. Sie ist sehr gut belegt, wodurch die Mitte etwas weich durch das Salamifett war. Aber man musste eh auf Grund des guten Belags mit Messer und Gabel Essen. Die anderen hatten eine Pizza mit einem Büffelmozarella, Pistazien und Honig - die ungewohnte Kreation schmeckte den Kollegen ebenfalls sehr gut. Als kleine Vorspeise aufs Haus gab es kleine Minipizzabrote und verschiedene Soßen/Dips - ebenfalls sehr lecker. Auch den 2 jungen Männern am Nachbartisch schien es sehr gut zu schmecken. Wir gehen auf jeden Fall wieder hin und probieren uns weiter durch die Karte. Parkplätze kann man finden - ob es eigene gibt, das weiß ich nicht. Nur evtl. wird das Auto etwas dreckig durch den Staub des Undustriegebietes.

Mittlerweile regelmäßig dort. Auch der Salat Nr. 21 mit Garnelen ist sehr lecker und reichlich. Heute Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten gegessen. Es gab außerhalb des Standards 2 Garnelen on top. Servietten der Pfanne und super lecker. Bis jetzt noch keine Enttäuschung erlebt.

24.2. Samstag 16 Uhr. Heute mit Familie dort gewesen. Es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt und die Familie war sehr von der Freundlichkeit von Giulio und seinem Team angetan. 3 Mal Pizza schmeckte den Kids sehr gut. 1 Mal Pasta Mare schmeckte ebenfalls erneut sehr lecker. Und heute zum 1. Mal Pasta Giulio - eine Portion Nudeln in einer Pfanne bedeckt mit Pizza. Auch sehr lecker, aber selbst für mich als sehr guten Esser etwas viel. Würde mich wundern, wenn die meisten Besteller die Portion komplett essen. Ich war sehr verwundert, dass das Restaurant so früh so voll war. Learning: Samstags ist es am besten man reserviert vorher.
