City-Point Kassel — Local services in Kassel

One of the worse shopping malls in Germany. From outside, it certainly looks promising. But considering it was built in 2000, the architect himself was anything but a visionary. The design is impractical and limits growth potential.

Despite it being a glass building, there is little to no daylight at all in the walking area of the mall, because the windows are covered for the most part. There is a small section with a view in the Cafe Zanetti, otherwise the only source of daylight is from the ceiling, which only illuminates the center with escalators and nothing else.

The mall not only lacks natural light but artificial light, as well. It's overall pretty dark and gloomy, even on a sunny day.

There's no outdoor seatings - an error made by the architect. Nobody involved in the project was thinking about comfort when this place was designed.

The food locations are cramped and not cozy at all. The food-dedicated food point has the charm of an airport and the selection of food stalls is poor with bad food to boot. The view consists of staring at an oversized and misplaced Saturn, which doesn't invite a sense of comfort with it's cold and bland storefront. There's a general lack of seating.

KFC is the only saving grace with a surprisingly better than average and tastier chicken than other KFCs in Germany.

The pseudo-indian (Afghan owned) and pseudo-thai (Vietnamese owned) food stalls can't be recommended at all. The food is inauthentic, tasteless (Thai Gourmet's food is even old!) and gives all countries involved a bad name.

The selection of stores is poor and below average. There's a lot of fluctuations in stores, as many close and stay closed for several months if not years. The management fails to provide customers with range. There's a lot of slots that haven't seen a store since the lockdown of 2020... I would also advise the management to think a little more seriously about whom they sign a lease with. Some stores really don't make any sense and then naturally close. Know your shoppers is all I can say. You're not La Fayette...

The only positive remarks I have are for the New Yorker and H&M store for their sheer size. There's a good selection of products available and both have and upper and lower level. However, in New Yorker, there could be a few more trial rooms - and it would be nicer if they weren't smack dab in the middle of the store, which robs one of a sense of privacy.

ONLY is also large with a lower and upper floor, but i haven't been inside as of yet.

BERSHKA will soon open in the location where two other stores failed, as far as I know. I like BERSHKA, so let's hope they fare better and have reasonable prices. Otherwise people will just run off to TK Maxx...

Ich muss Ihnen sagen, was mir heute am Saturn-Elektronikstand passiert ist. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht, dass ich das durchmachen musste. Heute habe ich ein 12.9 Ipad Pro für meine Tochter gekauft, ich hatte meinen Ausweis, ich hatte eine Bankkarte, ich hatte die Registrierung vom Rathaus. Ich fragte, ob es möglich sei und der erste Mitarbeiter, der sich sehr höflich bei uns anmeldete, erklärte, wie viel ich monatlich bezahlen muss, über die Garantie, alles perfekt bis hierher. Mit den beiden Papieren mussten wir zum Schalter mit dem Namen Finanzen gehen. Ich kam dort an, wartete lange genug und der Herr erschien von der Theke. Es folgte eine echte Computeraufzeichnung, persönliche Daten, genannt die Bank, bei der ich das Konto habe, Daten über den Arbeitsplatz und hier das Problem! Ich arbeite mit MiniJob, das sind 450 Euro im Monat. Nach all dieser Vernehmungszeit zeigt er mir am Computer, dass das Programm es ihm nicht erlaubt und dass er eine Zeitung von der Firma benötigt, in der ich arbeite, was wahrscheinlich zeigt, dass ich arbeite, das hat mich völlig enttäuscht, der Weg ist umsonst, ich lebe irgendwann. 60 km entfernt verwandelte sich die Begeisterung meiner Tochter in eine plötzliche Trauer, die verlorene Zeit, um so viele Daten einzugeben, ich sagte von Anfang an, was ich arbeite und wie viel ich verdiene. Der City Point in Kassel ist ein lebendiges Einkaufszentrum, das eine breite Palette an Geschäften und Dienstleistungen bietet. Ich habe kürzlich dort eingekauft und war insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit meinem Besuch.

Die Auswahl an Geschäften ist beeindruckend. Von Mode über Elektronik bis hin zu Haushaltswaren findet man hier alles, was man braucht. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass es sowohl große Marken als auch kleinere, lokale Geschäfte gibt, die das Shopping-Erlebnis abwechslungsreich gestalten.

Die Atmosphäre im City Point ist angenehm und einladend. Die offenen Flächen und die moderne Gestaltung tragen dazu bei, dass man sich beim Bummeln wohlfühlt. Außerdem gibt es ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten, falls man eine Pause einlegen möchte.

Ein Highlight ist die gastronomische Vielfalt. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Cafés und Restaurants, die eine willkommene Abwechslung bieten, wenn man eine Erholung vom Einkaufen braucht. Ich habe in einem der Cafés eine kleine Stärkung genossen – der Kaffee war frisch und der Service freundlich.

Ein kleiner Nachteil ist, dass es zu Stoßzeiten recht voll werden kann, was das Einkaufen etwas hektisch machen kann. Dennoch überwiegen die positiven Aspekte, und ich kann den City Point in Kassel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Insgesamt ein schöner Ort zum Einkaufen und Verweilen, den ich gerne wieder besuchen werde!
