I wanted a unique and special celebration for my husbands 70th birthday, but as it was really important to include all my family, a restaurant would not have made a practical choice. I have a 6 year old granddaughter and 22 month old twin grandchildren, to expect them to sit still for a couple of hours while we "wined and dined" would have caused un-necessary stress for all age groups concerned!

The solution came in the form of Scott Ludlow, a private chef, together with his Maitre D, Emily, they came to my home and cooked the most incredible " Dubai style Buffet"

The table was "dressed" to showcase the fan tastic food, it looked as well as tasted stunning. It was obvious that there was a great deal of preparation work completed before he arrived. I was concerned that my home is more modest than a lot of the venues Scott cooks in, but this man thrives on challenges, I didnt have much fridge space available, but everything was stored in cool boxes he brought with him during the cooking process at my home. I still can't believe the final buffet was cooked and prepared in my domestic kitchen.

We were lucky with the weather and with Emily serving drinks, including she and Scott making all of us Pina Colada's before serving the food, we were all able to relax in the garden and let the children play free range while we ate the incredible food presented to us. Before Scott left , remaining food was transferred to my own china so we could eat at our leisure. My kitchen was left spotless.

Scott and Jamie prepared an absolutely delicious meal for our family, to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Perfect for us as with younger children in the family, it meant that we could all enjoy incredible quality food, but in the comfort of our own home. The whole experience, from creating a bespoke 5 course taster menu (catering for my family's various dietary requirements), to seeing the transformation of our dinner table, and tasting the amazing food, was a real treat and all made very easy by Scott and his team. They even brought their own tableware, which meant no washing up for us and the kitchen was left spotless! We all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food - incredible flavours, perfect portion sizes, and we loved the courses with a twist (especially the candy floss caviar on pimms jelly!). Where do I begin. From start to finish the experience with Scott has truly been perfect. That is an understatement and really does not do it justice.

We hired Private Chef Direct to cater our intimate wedding at home. His attention to detail is secondary to none . From responding to emails to finalising the menu, the whole experience was very smooth.

What we enjoyed most is the fact that you can enjoy such an elaborate meal in the comfort of your own home, with the added bonus of having a spotless kitchen when he leaves! HIs crockery is beautiful and fit in perfectly with our wedding decor.

The food was mouthwateringly delicious and the cocktails were the icing on the cake!! If I could hire Scott to cook for us every day I would. Scott is a lovely person and we cannot wait to book him again for our next get together!
