We go here often for breakfast or Icecreams. Its a lovely little place with a huge blackboard for the kids to doodle on once they have the sugar rush from the ice cream.
The selection of ice cream is awesome and I am only half way through the menu trying things.
Its a bit slow on the service front which coupled with the opening hours posted elsewhere not matching up with the actual opening hours loses it a star (we stood outside on Sunday at 9:45am and it was closed when opening hours stated 9am).
All in though if your in Yarm and want a coffee with a novelty ice cream cone on the side then this is an excellent place to go. Great to go for a natter with nice...
Read moreNot going back again. Vanilla "gelato" tasted like cheap tinned custard. Sauce on the mint sundae was an insipid green colour. The crepe was a bland savory pancake with unmelted, grated mozzarella and a light smear of pesto; as for the stodgy waffle..... The staff were inattentive and looked unmotivated.... No wonder it was empty at lunchtime on a hot day. I'm just glad we were undercharged. I'm not sure that the word artisan could be associated with the food.... Redeeming features: the salad garnish seemed fresh, toilet clean, tables when cleared and wiped were clean..... Shame about the melted ice cream cone on the floor...

There are lots of choices on the menu which they are happy to alter as you wish. Staff were excellent and accommodated children very well, although not a great deal of room inside for pushchairs.
