Stadt Wolfenbüttel Rathaus — Local services in Wolfenbüttel

I don't just give stars like candies on Karneval or Halloween. But the City Hall of this "romantic city" fully derseve all 5 - in my book. Just look at the flowers at the entrance, light posts and window sills. But then, that might just be 'window dressing' - one might argue. It is not. They put their heart into it. The historic building is one of the many beautiful houses in the city. Once inside, the entrance hall is already a lesson in history. I am not going to spoil the fun. Just go see once this pandemic is over and they are open for the touristic public. One star is for the banner above the staircase: " Respekt. Kein Platz für Rassismus". No comment due here.

Even though it is an 'old' building, it is accessible for those with mobility challenges. Someone guides or even walk you to where you need to go, while making sure the health safety rules are adhered to.

The kind and generous service is one to be appreciated especially in these times.

Wolfenbutel City Hall with a 16th century storybook plaza. Pedestrians dominated. Great Saturday Farmer's Market. And the site of numerous festivals. Parking is available, metered, around the edges of this quaint downtown....

Seit mehreren Tagen versuche ich jemanden im Bürgeramt telefonisch zu erreichen. Leider vergeblich!!! Nach unendlich langen Wartezeiten ( 20-30 Minuten) in der Telefonschleife habe ich dann immer wieder aufgelegt. Was ist denn los? Alle im Homeoffice? Ich bin NICHT im Homeoffice und muss dringend mit einem Mitarbeiter der Stadt Wolfenbüttel persönlich sprechen. Leider ist das nicht möglich!!!
