AVOID THIS PLACE . SCAMMERS. USE DISTRACTION TECHNIQUES TO ALTER THE FIGURES THEY INPUT INTO THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE AND THEN RELY ON THE CHIP AND PIN RULES TO KEEP THE MONEY. DISGRACEFUL. Agreed a price on a beautiful wooden/studded elephant statue of 41000 rupees only to find they have actually charged the full price of 45100 rupees on the CC despite having shaken hands on the deal! This "reputable" Company did not respond to my emails so I raised a dispute with credit card provider. I provided a copy of the signed and AGREED sales contract document showing the price of 41000 which they notably failed to comment on, relying solely on the fact that it was a chip and PIN transaction so therefore could not be contested under the "rules". This retailer ABSOLUTELY knew what they were doing at the time - taking my card away to get the PIN machine, offering refreshments etc chit chat - representing me with the card machine and keeping me talking while getting me to input my PIN. There are many many outlets in Kochi so my advice is GO ELSEWHERE for your souvenirs and refuse to deal with these scammers. Bought on the basis that it was handmade/hand knotted, 100%silk and had a density of 1600knots per square inch (40x40).
