Le Piramidi Beach — Local services in Catania

Young lady on the entrance was really helpful and nice €10 for a sunbed €5 for an umbrella Unlike a lot of places they don't charge you for two loungers if you are on your own and would like an umbrella Additional €5 if you want to use the pool, and you have to wear a cap. You can buy these for €3 You are then taken to your lounger There is a small beach bar. The young man there was lovely and helpful. All decent prices too. €1 for a bottle of water and €3 for a birra They had these ice cream things that you drink once they have been out of the fridge 5ish minutes-delicious and a great recommendation from the bar man The seats there though are only low deck chairs and low bean bag chairs. Comfy ish once you've got in the deck chair bit harder to get out if. The bean bag chairs far easier in snd out of but back rest bit is very low so either end up sitting up or nearly lying down There is what I can only describe as a school canteen also where you could buy bottled drinks from fridges. They served lunch from here too. This was beyond hectic and so noisy. Totally disorganised and lots of pushing. The food was not the best either and definitely not worth the hassle of getting it. I suggest to take you're own sandwich with you The staff in the food area where rude and not helpful at all The pool has a small number of sunloungers but they were all taken. Some came free later on which was nice The pool is small but refreshing Showers on the beach Also indoor showers by the pool Everywhere would benefit from a fair bit of TLC I enjoyed my day overall but will not be returning and trying...

When in Sicily, Catania, especially during the summer try to make it to this beach. I have live in here for about 17 months now and every summer I am out and on the beach about 0600 for aboard six to seven miles run. Mixed views of the beach is guaranteed. There establishments along the beach called Lidos or different resorts / restaurants that offered cleaned portions of the beach with chairs and other amenities for sale. Meanwhile, there's the public side that's left with trash and everyone makes the way as they can. I am never bothered. I am there early for a run, followed by a swim and out before the crowds appear. The water tho, is crystal clear...

Prices: Sunbed- 10€, Umbrella- 5€. The prices at the bar are cheap. They offer meat (chicken, fish), salads, desserts, drinks, etc. (Not sure about cocktails) There's a pool for which you pay separately. The toilets are next to the pool and they are clean. There's a changing room and showers. Music is seldom played so it's pretty quiet. There are 3 net fields and I believe you can grab a racket or a ball at the reception...
