He arranged every detail with care: top-notch drivers and knowledgeable tour guides in Siracusa, Ortigia, and Noto, each one warm, professional, and fluent in English. One of the highlights was a private half-day boat ride around Taormina Bay, complete with captain and crew — a stunning way to take in the coastline. Dario even sent his colleague Valeria to greet us afterward, a thoughtful gesture that made our 35th anniversary extra special.

Another unforgettable experience was the tour up Mount Etna, led by a volcanologist who shared deep insights into the geology and history of the area — just days before the volcano erupted! In Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, our private guide (a local middle school teacher) brought the ancient history vividly to life.

The journey to Agrigento was long, and Dario’s recommendation to stop at Villa Romana del Casale was perfect. Seeing 3rd-century mosaics that had been hidden for centuries and excavated in the 1930s was an unexpected treasure.

Every driver — including transfers to and from the Catania airport — was punctual, friendly, and highly professional.
