This is a five star experience. We booked the 8hour experience before we arrived in Venice. Upon arrival We were greeted by the charming and very helpful and informative staff. Jean Paul not only offers great knowledge of the Venetian islands but clearly is passionate about his boats but also the environment which is wonderful to see. We have absolutely no experience of boats however after 30 minutes training we were ready and confident of the experience ahead. We were lucky enough to be given the beautiful boat “Joy” with all the little extras such as a cool box and blue tooth speakers that help make the difference. Our planned route with the easy to use GPS was perfect, stopping off at islands with beach bars and lovely swimming areas. We had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful island of Burano as well a tasting some hand made stone baked pizza with a few beers along the way. I highly recommend classic boat venice to everyone who want to do something a little bit different and see the real venice without all the tourists. After finding that some smaller tours were booked out and not wanting to go on a bigger boat, we lucked into the Classic Boats Venice webpage and booked a four hour tour. I can't imagine a better way to view the lagoon and islands of Venice. Our cute, electric powered boat was well stocked with towels, water, GPS and a Bluetooth speaker for the trip. GPS guidance was easy to follow and gave us a great guideline for the trip, but you don't have to just follow the route! The best part of this trip is that you can stop and admire whatever you like, go for a swim or head off the route if something takes your interest. The friendly staff just explain everything you need to know rules wise on the lagoon, give you a run down on driving the boat and then set you off on your way.

There are two great thing about Classic Boats Venice. The first is obviously the amazing boat experience. And the second is Jean-Paul, who has been wonderful from the moment we came in to check in for our boat, Gioia, to the moment we left. Not only did he show us what to do to drive safely and have fun, but he also truely cared for us, offered sunscreen, water, sound speakers, and cherry on top, shared with us the history of the boats making in Venice, as a proud Americano-Italian.
