Ristorante In Paradiso — Restaurant in Venice

We arrived at this restaurant and wandered around for quite some time without anyone telling us where we could sit. So, we went to the counter to place an order and were told we needed to sit down and order from there. (During this time, several waiters passed by us and made eye contact but didn't acknowledge us.) After finishing our meal, we asked the waiter for the bill, but no one came for almost 20 minutes. I saw that waiter walk past us many times, and each time I thought he was finally coming to take our payment, but he didn’t. Instead, he seated other customers next to us and cleared many other tables in our area without coming to us. We finally left our table and found another staff member to ask for the bill. She rudely told us to return to our table and wait. After another 5 minutes, someone finally came. I can’t help but wonder if we were treated this way because we are Asian. It was extremely frustrating. The prices were also outrageous—€6 for a Coke and water, and €27 for a bland and poorly prepared fried seafood dish. When we asked about the €6 charge, the server rudely said we should have checked the prices before ordering, even though there was nowhere indicating that a bottle of water cost €6. We will never return, and we strongly advise others against coming here—you will only get bad food and terrible service. italiano： Abbiamo vissuto un servizio estremamente scadente in questo ristorante, dal fatto che nessuno ci ha detto dove sederci al momento in cui siamo stati ignorati quando era ora di pagare. Sat down and ordered prosecco. Got served white wine instead. When we asked the waiter about it he first said that we had indeed ordered white wine, then sniffed our glasses, disappeared. When he got back he said that he didn’t even have prosecco but he could cancel our order. When we asked to pay for the water that we also had ordered, he disappeared again, served several other tables around ours and when he decided to bring us our check, he just threw a ‘it’s only 3€’ in our direction. He was incredibly unpleasant to talk to and all in all, it was a terrible experience, which is too bad, given the stunning location and view of the city. Won’t ever come again, incredibly disappointed....

I wanted to order a tonic, but the servers didn't understand me at first and almost acted like I was crazy. Then I looked the menu and tonic was on it, but they already walked away without saying anything. Then I walked to bar to order, but then they told me that we had to be served at the table. They never came back.. When I looked at the menu further I saw that the prices were ridiculous and I was lucky to never order a tonic for € 6, or a mozerella sandwich for € 18! They had the most expensive mozarella sandwich I have ever seen and at that point I decided to not order anything.
