Nice onsen next to a shrine. Entrance ¥100, you need to bring your own shampoos and towel, Beppu onsen stamp at the unmanned reception. Operating time 07:00-22:00, no parking. The changing area is separated from the bathing area with a door so normally you can't see your stuff while bathing (no lockers) but you might be able to leave a bit of the door open. Three stairs will lead you to the bathing area. The tub is small size oval shape in the middle of the bathing area with plenty of space to wash up. The tub, floor and walls are made of little tiles and the water is transparent. Don't be surprised if there are many styrofoams floating on the surface of the tub! Because the temperature of this onsen is low (measured the water in the tub at 38.5°C when I bathed) they cover the surface water with styrofoams to retain the heat. The caretaker happened to drop by when I was there and he said you can either bathe with the styrofoams in (guess you stick your head out from an opening) or you can remove them, bathe and then put them back. The facilities were clean and nicely maintained. This onsen is recommended for long soaks due to its low temperature. You can even buy a small towel (¥100) or soap (¥50) at the unmanned reception! Read more前回は、午前の入浴時間が、工事のため入れず再訪❗午後の部です。‼️でも、先に来られていた地元の常連さんが熱くて入れない😫との事で急遽加水してくれとの指令を受けて、私が蛇口係となり、保温材を外して入浴しました。😤その後も後からの常連さんに加水したままにしておいてと依頼され、汗だくの一時となりました。今は、午前の部も復活しているとの事です。☺️ 一休みしてお稲荷様へのお礼参りをして後にしました。🙏 温泉巡りで訪れましたが、時間が合わず、入ることが出来ませんでした。😫次回、また入りに来ますと、お稲荷さまに、お参りし、掃除されていた女性にも挨拶...
