An enjoyable and educational experience. They have a gold bar you can lift up (if you are strong enough) and a security guard discreetly watching in case you try to make off with some of it. They also have the world's largest gold bar you can touch.
The mine itself had impressive animatronics and descriptions available in English. The town itself is a hot spring town, and the mine ran into hot springs. Inside there is a pool of warm spring water and the mine itself is warm near it in a way other mines I've been to are not.
