龍華 土肥店 — Restaurant in Izu

TL;DR: despite the “terrible” service, it’s the most authentic and delicious Taiwanese food I’ve had in Japan.

I’m half Taiwanese and this place had the best Taiwanese food I have eaten in my 6 years in Japan. The ebi shumai is LEGIT the best I’ve ever had in the country, and the pigs feet and garlic fried rice were amazing. All fresh seafood ingredients, too. Delicious seafood salad with squid, shrimp, jellyfish, and scallop.

But yeah.mThe service is seriously CHINESE standard service. Very direct. Very curt. I asked if they had Jasmine Tea, she says “No.” They have other tea, but I didn’t ask if they had other teas, so she didn’t feel the need to tell me about the others lol....

Id like to give this 3 stars, the food was OK and pretty cheap. Kids were running around screaming and the place was smoky. What makes this a 1 star review was the service, it was absolutely disgusting. This is the worst service I've ever experienced anywhere in the world. They treated us like poo poos. Unfortunately this is the cheapest restaurant in Toi, so I suppose it will keep making a living. AVOID...

【修羅になるための修行の場所。何事にも動じない精神を。】 ・高菜炒飯(650円)/春巻き(600円)/黒胡椒牛肉のカキ油炒め(850円)/台湾ラーメン(550円) を頂きました。

・久しぶりに「何事にも動じない」メンタルを鍛えてもらえるお店さんに出会いました。笑

・天井から中サイズの虫が舞い降りてきました。動じない動じない。

・店員さんのご家族と思われる女の子がキックボードにのってシャーっと店内を駆け巡っています。それを避けるのも修行。動じない動じない。

・テーブルの調味料として設置されているお酢の中には不思議な膜状の固形物がふわりと羽ばたいています。おそらく酢酸菌、死にはしない。動じな…いや、使わない。使わない。

・店員さんに嫌われてしまったのでしょうか。他のお客様とは明らかに語尾が違います💦焦らない焦らない。

・お料理は一言もなく「ごつん」と歩きながらテーブルに投げるように置かれます。動じない動じない。

・お会計。多少多くとられました。募金の一環と捉え、動じない動じない。

・…黙ってお食事をして退店後、妻と二人、顔を向き合わせて笑ってしまいました。久しぶりに、しびれる出来事が重なったお店さんでした。

・しかし！9月も終盤となり、中秋の名月を越えました。陰陽が逆転し、日常の流れが変わり始めて間もなくの出来事だったので、これは何か、天から与えてもらった試練かもしれない！と捉えて、良い体験だったと思うことにしました。

・あとで他の方の口コミをみても、「良い悪い」が極端に二分していたので、訪れた日はたまたまよくないタイミングだったのでしょうね。。。

・お料理は、よくある食べ放題コースがある中華屋さんのそれと同じく、安定したものです。ボリュームもしっかりです。特に、高菜炒飯のボリュームは満点です。

・世の中が落ち着いて、お酒が飲めるようになったら、食べ放題×飲み放題のメニューでわいわいやりたいお店さんですね。ご馳走様でした。
