Bookoff Bazaar in Ōfuna is one of the best secondhand shopping spots I’ve visited in Kanagawa. The store is huge and well-organized, with different sections for books, manga, games, electronics, clothing, musical instruments, toys, and even home goods. If you enjoy treasure hunting, this place is perfect—you never know what you’ll find, and the prices are very reasonable compared to buying new.
The manga and book section alone could keep you browsing for hours, with everything from the latest popular series to older, hard-to-find titles. The retro video game corner is also impressive, carrying classic consoles, cartridges, and accessories in surprisingly good condition. Clothing racks are neat, with a mix of casual and branded items at affordable prices.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and checkout is quick even when the store gets crowded. Since it’s near Ōfuna Station, access is convenient, and there’s plenty to explore nearby if you want to make a day of it.
Overall, Bookoff Bazaar Ōfuna is a fantastic place to shop if you’re looking for bargains, secondhand treasures, or simply want to browse for fun. Highly recommended for book lovers, gamers, and anyone who enjoys...
Read moreI love this store! I visit this store about once a month while my wife does grocery shopping at the Ito Yokado supermarket next door.
It’s a much cleaner, larger, and way better organized version of a Goodwill Store in the U.S. About one-third of the store is dedicated to books and videos, one-third to clothing, and the rest to electronics, sporting goods, and luxury items. There’s also a fair amount of knickknacks and tchotchkes.
You won’t find appliances, furniture, or garden tools but there’s a good chance you will find everything else here.
The prices are extremely reasonable and based on the condition of the item. The last time I was there, I bought a used computer mouse for ¥110 and three Showa style postboxes for ¥110, ¥210, and ¥310.
You can also bring your no longer needed items to sell at the store but don’t expect to...
Read moreI just made a huge purchase of many electronics here. It would not have been possible without the help of Tetsuya.
I don’t speak Japanese, so I usually have to use a translator to get questions answered. Tetsuya speaks perfect English and answered tons of questions from me, made recommendations, and helped me make choices for what to do. I bought a record player, receiver, speakers, Switch, cables, records and a game. I walked into the store looking for something else, but because communicating with him was so easy and he was so knowledgeable, my purchase quickly and continually expanded. I felt a little ridiculous when I left because I had so much stuff, but Tetsuya also showed me the selling price online for the items so I know I got hooked up with a good...
