Grand Hirafu .Base — Local services in Kutchan

The staff were lovely. That is not why the review is bad. However we had a health issue come up and were forced to cut our stay short. The date we found this out was the 18th of Jan. We asked to cancel the 21st of Jan which we had originally planned to snowboard on. However, store policy is no refunds, even though we would be returning the snow gear on the 20th.

Personally I think it's rough that we have been forced to pay for a day of "rental" even though the gear has been returned. Definitely something that should be communicated as every other rental shop would usually refund you for the day.

The staff was very friendly and the Mountain Kiosk Cafe had some excellent hot chocolate and delicious pastries and snacks. But I am giving two stars due to the LACK OF CHAIRS! It was crazy watching people standing around in uncomfortable ski boots sipping their coffee and not being able to sit down. There were more tables than chairs and you pretty much had to wait for others to leave (and then move quickly since there were oodles of other people all vying for the same chairs!).
