Niseko Academy — Local services in Kutchan

Our family of four booked two 4 hour flex lessons with Niseko Academy in January this year (2023). The service provided in the booking process was fantastic. I initially emailed to inquire and Brian responded quickly to provide all the details and prices we needed and included a link for seamless booking of the lessons. As we booked flex lessons, we were collected at our accommodation and transported to the slope and then dropped home afterwards. Our two instructors (Jamie and Graham) were very experienced, friendly and helpful. They provided all kinds of advice not only about how to improve our skiing but also the local area and how to get around. All of us felt our skiing had improved as a result of using Niseko Academy. Another benefit of using Niseko Academy and the flex lesson approach was that we were able to try two different resorts in our few few days of skiing. We were staying at Niseko Village but went to Annapuri on day 1 and then Hanazono the next lesson. This was really helpful to know which slopes were best for us. While visiting Niseko several years ago I met an instructor from Niseko Academy, I was very impressed by his description of the academy so I kept his business card. Prior to my recent visit to Niseko I googled ski lessons and saw Niseko Academy. Ah ha, yes this is the ski school for me! The instructors all held excellent qualifications. I emailed Brian and he replied promptly. His reply was professional and informative. I told Brian that I was considering private lessons as I was not a good skier and I wanted to regain confidence. He suggested a good starting point would be lessons at Annupuri. Charlie collected my friend and I from our hotel and we headed off on our four hour adventure to annupuri. What a wonderful young man! Charlie was bright and enthusiastic from the get go. So professional and patient. He instructed us in a relaxed clear manner and made sure that we had tons of fun along the way! My family just returned from a week in Niseko where we had a fantastic experience skiing with Brian's team at the Niseko Academy. From start to end, all our interactions were very positive and personalized. Brian took the time to suggest the best way for us to get to the slopes, manage our gear etc. This is our fourth time back in Niseko and on previous trips we have tried different ski schools. Our week with the Niseko Academy was the best by a mile! Charlie our ski coach was very helpful and friendly with the kids, and quickly fit right into our family dynamic, quickly getting a sense for each person's ability, preferences, energy and comfort level on the slopes. He kept it fun, adventurous and extremely accomodating and easy going with regards to any preferences and suggestions/requests we had with respect to timings, breaks and routes.
