With limited resources, I did my own research on Kimono rentals around this area. I came across this place from Klook because I noticed their ads color is a bit on the 'braver' side. Other rentals use a lot of pink, pastels and cute colors. However, Kyoto has this air of classic beauty, and I need some elegant colors to perfect the image. This rental has it! Their formals and semi-formals are gorgeous, but the regular ones are also stunning! I manage to mix and match from their regular collection. All day long walking in the city, I got tons of compliment and head-turnings. If you still wants pink, pastels or cute, this shop have them too! Read moreThe experience was awesome and exceeded our expectations! Yuka and her team fitted us speedily and helped us choose kimonos which suited us both individually and as a couple. As I was lucky to arrive at a less busy timing, Yuka was generous to throw in an accessory belt and a more elaborated hairdo for me which werent included in the klook package. She makes me feel at ease and was easy to talk to.

Read moreWe came in an hour before our appointment and the two ladies were quick and kind about it. Of course, we’re traveling during a low season so nobody was in line. Please don’t do this during high season as they might not be able to accommodate you then.
The kimono selection was good, and the ladies were helpful with all of our questions. They’re closing earlier than the other shops though so you have to time yourself carefully.
When I returned to the shop, I asked for another hairdo cause it was so cold so I wanted to have my hair down again, no curl no nothing, and the lady did it for me for free 🥹🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻 so grateful.
