We got the couple set from Klook along with hair and makeup. We booked the first available time slot at 08:30h which gives you a few minutes extra to pick out a kimono/yukata. One star off because of the lady with the short hair and glasses who was a little rude and short-tempered. She basically wanted you to know everything that you wanted in as little time as possible and give her the least amount of work. So if you don't speak Japanese or Mandarin and you get her, just be aware she will rush you and bad-mouth you in Japanese to her co-workers. Eg. One of her co-workers who was helping out my husband pick out an obi asked her for her opinion and she replied in a very annoyed tone, "Who cares? Just pick whatever." She did do my hair well though so credits to her for that. The rest of the staff were lovely and kind. Special thanks to the super nice lady who did my makeup. She was so patient even though there was a huge language barrier (she mostly only spoke Mandarin and some Japanese). She took her time and really did my makeup well. Regarding the men's selection...it is definitely not as extensive as the women's. They mostly only have basic colours and patterns. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by how everything was included in the set we reserved—hair styling, accessories, the beautiful kimono, 着付け (the dressing), bags, and gloves. Having done kimono rentals before in Kyoto, I can confidently say this place was by far the nicest I’ve been to. Unlike other places that charge extra fees for things like additional hair accessories or embellished obi belts, this service provided everything at a fair price. The staff were incredibly accommodating and even took the time to share their personal recommendations, making the entire experience feel so much more special. We just found this ookini rental shop by walking pass there. The experience was so amazing and incredible. Service: 5 star. we choose the set including ookini and hairstyles. Hairstyles are very important, more than 50% of the whole outlook, believe me! The head flowers are handmade by shop , so there’s no duplicated when you go around. The shop assistant is very classy and knows how to match colors and clothing. Price: very reasonable. There are makeup and shooting for choosing, we did not choose these two. We made up by ourselves . the shop still provided cosmetics for free use. Location: very convenient. Only 1 min walk away Yasaka Shrine. And also can walk to kiyomizudera temple around 20 mins.
