I was here in late-Jan 2023 and again in early-Feb 2023. Overall experience was average. It was not a bad place to wait for your connection. Face masks are still required in the lounge the last time I was there in early-Feb 2023.
It was crowded when I arrived in late-Jan 2023. Most of the seats in the front hall when you first enter were occupied. There are more seats down the hallway on the left from when you enter. However that area doesn't have windows. If you are looking to regulate your body clock with natural light, the best place would be the front hall with natural light.
I sat at a row facing the walkway with people queuing up to go through security. The area seemed a little stuffy and warm even without winter wear. I thought it was just that day in particular but it was the same in Feb 2023. I was seated in the same area but closer to the food bar.
There is a refresh counter in the washroom but probably insufficient sinks as there are a few people brushing or washing up. There's a shower facility too but the line-up is rather long. You'll need to register for that at a self-service booth near the Concierge. And you'll see the estimated wait time and the number of people ahead of you.
There isn't a large selection of food at both the main hall and the smaller area inside. However, the quality and variety are both better than the average lounge. I highly recommend that you scan the QR code for their cook-to-order menu. You'll find that QR code at the seat or on the table. You'll need to be on the lounge WIFI to access it. After placing the order on your phone, you'll be notified of your order on your mobile phone. So ensure you have SMS network enabled. Once you receive the notification, you'll need to go over to the Noodle Bar, at the end of main hall in the corner on the right. There's a small serving window where you'll receive your beautiful meal.
There is a selection of ramen noodles there and the pork option is rather good. It's real comfort food (for me at least) for the jet lagged and tired traveller. I am guilty of almost finishing my warm and tasty broth.
There are some non-caffeinated tea options like roasted green tea and hojicha. There are also a few alcohol options to select from from Japanese whiskey to Japanese plum wine.
Staff members have been absolutely patient and helpful despite the high level of traffic...
Read moreThe newly opened Turkish Airlines Lounge at Narita Airport, which began welcoming guests in February this year, offers a fresh and culturally rich experience for travelers passing through. I had the opportunity to visit during my recent trip, and while the lounge has its limitations, it’s definitely a welcome addition to the Star Alliance offerings at Narita.
In terms of size, the lounge is on the smaller side—especially when compared to more established lounges like those of ANA or United. Seating is somewhat limited, and during busier times it can feel a bit cramped. That said, it’s thoughtfully designed, with a cozy and stylish atmosphere that reflects Turkish hospitality.
The real highlight here is the food. Despite the more compact space, the lounge doesn’t skimp on flavor or variety. Guests can enjoy a selection of Turkish specialties including freshly baked pide, lahmacun, and traditional Turkish tea and coffee. These authentic touches make the lounge feel unique and are a real treat if you’re looking for something different from the typical international lounge fare.
If your gate is located nearby, this lounge is definitely worth a stop—especially if you’re craving a taste of Turkish cuisine or want a quieter alternative to the busier ANA and United lounges. However, if you’re prioritizing spacious seating, more extensive buffet selections, or amenities like showers and workspaces, you may want to head toward the ANA or United lounges, which are larger and located closer to immigration.
Overall, the Turkish Airlines Lounge at Narita is a charming new option with a strong cultural identity, and a great place for a quick break—especially if you appreciate good food and a more...
Read moreI came here for the first time because through my airline's royalty system meant that I was recognised as a Star Alliance Gold Class member. The location of the lounge was perfectly positioned to where my gate was (45) at Narita so that was a big bonus.
Checking in was easy and as soon as you get through to the main lounge area, I was blown away by the space you have to relax. At the time, it was very busy so all the nicer and convenient seats were taken so had to get seats right at the end of the lounge - but after 30mins or so a large number of people left and most of the seats were released and we could move.
Food was fresh and very tasty for example - small bite sized sandwiches, chocolates, cheese, danish, rolled sushi, napolitan pasta, mini hamburg steaks, miso soup, made-to-order soba/udon noodles and curry rice. At 5pm the sushi counter opened up and you could choose between tuna, prawn and salmon freshly made for you by a chef. People would at first complain about the portions, but I believe this is very effective to stop people from wasting food.
All the seats come with a low voltage USB port and a normal AC plug. There are showers you can use but you'll need to reserve it first at the counter since there could be others infront.
A fantastic experience and very relaxing before boarding a long haul...
