We came through Narita on our way to and from with layovers on both ends of our trip . Both times I had issues with this club. Im a Premier 1K with a United Presidents Club card. On the way there , I had my son and daughter in law with me. They told me I couldn’t bring them both in although I had done it at the Denver airport. I had forgotten they had also flown business class so could have gotten in on their own but they rejected me so fast, we just left and waited in the airport for two hours for our connection.
On the way back, there were 5 of us which included my husband who is also Premium 1K , 4 of us were traveling business class. We wanted to bring in a guest who was going back to the states at the same time but on a different flight number and they said we could not bring him in. My husband started researching this and when they saw that, they finally asked us if we had the United club credit card. When we showed them we did, they allowed us to bring him in . It would be nice if they would evaluate all your options before just rejecting you the minute you walk up.
Let’s add to that the fact that they don’t have working showers; the upstairs of the club is closed and it doesn’t open until 8:45am. We walked up at 8:44 and she made us wait one minute for ven though she was standing on the other side of the door looking at us.
We had arrived on flight that landed at Narita at 6:45am. Luckily we realized we could get in the ANA suite club which is very nice and has very nice showers; although we could not bring a guest in. We stayed there until the United club...
Read moreThe United Club Lounge at Narita Airport is a standout among the Star Alliance lounges and, in many ways, surpasses expectations. From the moment you step in, the sense of space is noticeable—there’s a generous amount of seating spread throughout the lounge, and it actually feels more open and less crowded than ANA’s flagship “home court” lounge. Whether you’re looking to relax, catch up on work, or enjoy a quiet moment before your flight, there’s room to do it comfortably.
One of the lounge’s strongest points is its food selection. Compared to the ANA Lounge, the United Club offers a wide variety of dishes, catering to both international and local tastes. While it doesn’t have a dedicated noodle bar like ANA, there is still udon available—you’ll just need to prepare it yourself. It’s a small trade-off, but for those craving something warm and comforting, it does the job.
The true culinary star here, however, is the beef curry rice. Rich, savory, and perfectly spiced, it’s a must-try dish and, in my opinion, the best curry offering in all of Narita Airport—even edging out ANA’s famous version. While the United Lounge may not focus as much on Japanese beverages (you won’t find an extensive list of Japanese wines like at ANA), it compensates with a solid overall food experience and a wide range of Western...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to the United Airlines lounge in Narita, I discovered a hidden gem of culinary delights. The lounge offered a standout menu that featured a combination of traditional and contemporary Japanese flavors.
Among the menu options, the mochi caught my attention and quickly became my favorite. These sweet rice cakes were soft and chewy, with a delightful filling that ranged from red bean to matcha. Each bite was a burst of flavor and a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine.
To complement the mochi, the lounge also served fragrant white rice, cooked to perfection. Its fluffy texture and subtle taste provided a satisfying accompaniment to the other dishes.
And what better way to wash down the delectable treats than with an ice-cold Asahi beer? Its crisp and refreshing nature paired perfectly with the Japanese delicacies, adding a touch of relaxation to the lounge experience.
The United Airlines lounge in Narita truly captured the essence of Japanese cuisine, offering a delightful combination of mochi, white rice, and Asahi beer. This menu selection provided a delightful taste of Japan's culinary heritage and made my visit to the lounge an...
