Nozawa Sessions — Local services in Nozawaonsen

We recently visited Nozawa with our two girls aged 8 and 10 that had never skied before. Being the busy period from new year, we enquired through Greg from Nozawa Sessions for 4 x private lessons. He was extremely prompt with his responses and organisng their lessons. Even to the extent where we organised a lay day to recover. We met the instructor Valentina each morning for their three hour lesson. This gave myself and my wife the time to ski to together and rejoin them for lunch and a afternoon session together. I can honestly say that after one lesson they were confident and skilled enough to ski down from the Hikage side top to bottom. This then improved with further lessons. Valentina was great with the girls and they completely enjoyed and trusted her guidance. We intend on coming back this year and furthering their development with more lessons through Nozawa...

My son skied with Helen and my husband and I skied with George and later Holly. This was the second time we have skied with Nozawa Sessions.

We contacted Greg of Nozawa Sessions two months before our trip by email, he responded to all of my queries. Despite being new to Nozawa Onsen, all three instructors were very experienced teaching people from different cultures and different levels. That was a big plus for us.

My twelve year old was very happy skiing with Helen, they skied together for 4 days. She challenged him but also gave him enough breaks so he wasn’t tired out. His skills improved a lot. George and later Holly helped me improve my technique, they gave me the confidence to push myself.

We visited Nozawa Onsen for the new year and booked my two girls, ages 9 and 11, ski lessons with Nozawa Sessions. Greg was great in getting us set up and very flexible! He made suggestions on where we could rent gear and prepared us well for the lessons. My girls had Gilly and Brooke and they were just AMAZING!!! So patient and kind with the kids and really helped them improve on their skills and technique. My girls looked forward to their subsequent lessons since they had so much fun! And even though I emphasized having fun being so important with ski lessons, I appreciated when Gilly mentioned that fun is great but most important is safety!!! Would highly recommend this ski...
