Facebook post: Day 3 here in Toyko, Emily and I traveled to a nontouristy part for our tattoo appointments with Yuya at his private studio called "inked cat". We arrived early to his surprise but welcomed us with his kind and soft spoken personality. We soon learned he is a master of the traditional Japanese tattooing called tebori which is usedon large pieces. We both got small pieces which were done with a gun. Yuya explained he studied under his master who is very famous in the tattoo world. And explained it's not just learning how to tattoo but to also make the tebori tool along with the technique. I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Yuya during my visit to Tokyo in May 2024, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Yuya is amazing!! Have been talking to him through email for about a month until I finally arrived in Japan to get this tattoo done!! I have always wanted a piece of art like this and done in Tebori style! He was extremely patient with me and did this amazing piece quickly and beautifully!! I will be coming back to get some more work done by him and get some background done on this piece.
