The pottery making session here was great! The teacher was really helpful, making sure to guide us withough being too overbearing. Afterwards they served tea and (delicious) tsukemono. They also have a lot of great looking peices on sale for reasonable prices. It might be a struggle if you don't speak Japanese, though. Très belle découverte. L'atelier se trouve à peu près à 1h de marche de la gare de Yamagata. L'accueil est très chaleureux : la propriétaire nous propose du thé froid et des légumes marinés maison avant de nous remercier d'être venus à sa boutique. Elle nous a fait visiter toute la chaîne de fabrication de l'argile au produit final, puis nous a proposé de faire un atelier pour réaliser nous même nos poteries. Les prix sont très abordables que ce soit pour l'atelier ou pour la boutique. Les poteries sont totalement faites main avec des matières premières locales, et elles sont magnifiques. Le personnel est très agréable et attentif. Ils parlent un peu anglais et peuvent communiquer en utilisant un traducteur si besoin.
