Very worst and unprofessional service. When I provided my wedding details and asked for a quotation, they replied to me after 9 days and asked me to come in person to their office to discuss without providing any quotation in the first place. Then, I told them that I am based in KL and the wedding is in Penang, therefore, I can't make it to their office and I informed them that I prefer WhatsApp communications. Thereafter, they asked for my preferred wedding menu. After I provided the menu, they still insisted that I go to their office in Penang. Then I asked for the availability of food tasting, to which they replied that they wouldn't provide food tasting for 300 pax. This is totally ridiculous. I told them that I'm based in KL and I hadn't eaten their food before, to which they replied it's their SOP. 300 pax don't deserve to food taste?? To which they replied, "We understand your situation., but we can assure you on our food quality and taste. Besides that we also have uploaded customer reviews on our FB and TikTok Ms" lol like seriously? how do you expect people to book you without food taste? Then I replied that "Every person have different taste Ms. Taste is so subjective. Something nice to you doesn't necessarily mean nice to me. That is why we wanted to try the food ourselves before making the booking. You can give out at least 1 packet of food for us to try right? and I didn't ask for free. I will pay for the food and you don't have to cook specially for me only. If there is any event you can cook extra for one pax which I can pay for the food. So, I don't see what is the issue. Anyway, I'm not going to book anything without tasting. Hence, I'm not proceeding further. Thank you for your assistance." For which she replied on 29.08.2023, that she will check with her boss and will get back to me, but there was no response at all. I finally followed up on 23.09.2023 whether there is any update from their boss, to which again she replied, "pls do come at our office for further discussion, we will explain you about the food testing" They keep insisting on coming in person all the way from KL just to "discus further" what is there to discuss if i dont like the taste of your food at the first place? Read morea heartfelt thank you to Gayathri Catering team for the exceptional service at my sister’s wedding dinner which was held on 1/3/25 at SG laman perkhawinan Sg Bakap..The food & the service given was absolutely amazin!! our guests couldn’t stop raving about the perfectly grilled satay with peanut sauce..the flavorful mutton perattal, which was the star of the show..the chicken sambal..perfectly balanced tasty mango pachadi with the unique mixed with dried fruits and the refreshing ice kacang was the perfect refreshing treat to end the meal..and all the other menu too which are thosai, Chapati and vege items.. but the ones I mentioned was bomb! Full Payment Requirement Before Event: Unlike most vendors who typically require 80% upfront and 20% after the event, this vendor required 100% payment in advance. This reduced flexibility and made it harder to address post-event concerns. Food Quantity Concerns: It appeared that some portions of the food were withheld and was being consumed by the staff. The qty enough to serve around 10 guests. When this issue was raised to the owner, owner tried to deny saying the staffs wouldn’t do such things even after explaining that we literally saw the food being kept away and being consumed by the staffs and claiming that the food is finish. This was disappointing and caused some concern during the event. Timing Issues: There were delays in the catering setup and service timing, which impacted the flow of the event.
