Pizza Hut Restaurant Alma Bukit Mertajam — Restaurant in Penang

During lunch time 1pm ++, we are required by the staffs to sit at the 1st floor as there's no air conditioning at the ground floor. After order placed for 15 minutes, drinks and mushroom soup not yet served. There's only 1 table dine in (my kid and I) and only 1 delivery order (the delivery man was waiting there)

We ordered 2 drinks, 2 mushroom soup, 2 side dishes and 2 spaghetti. After starve for 15 minutes, I need to go to the downstairs to ask what happened, the staffs said my side dishes is going to be ready, thus they wait for the side dish so that they can served all together. (Drinks+mushroom soup+side dish + spaghetti) I said cannot, if they serve together, which food I need to take first? If I take the mushroom soup first, the side dish and spaghetti going to be half warm already.

I said by right the drinks and mushroom soup needs to be served once the order was placed, cannot wait for the main course which is going to be ready after 15 minutes. If there's a lot of customers and staffs cannot cope it, then is excusable. So lazy and poor service, like there's no proper training at all.

Some more, there's no other customers in the restaurant and the staffs are talking to each other. It was lunch time, we as customers are going back to work and kid going to tuition later on, but the staffs delaying to serve our order despite there's no other customers in the same restaurant.

I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit to this Pizza Hut Alma. I waited for over 20 minutes, and no one came to take my order or offer a menu to scan. Eventually, I approached a staff member who was folding boxes near the kitchen and asked how much longer I would need to wait. She claimed she hadn’t noticed me at all which was hard to believe, considering I was seated directly in front of her and she repeatedly walked past me to the counter. Are we supposed to believe she didn’t see me? It’s ridiculous.

Additionally, there were children playing with the cutlery and plates already set on the tables for dine-in customers. I saw them putting spoons in their mouths and even taking cutlery from other tables. This raised serious hygiene concerns. Are those same items later served to other customers? It was honestly quite disturbing and unacceptable.

The worst pizza hut which we went through out Penang island and mainland. The staff in kitchen shouting like pasar malam. The staff throwing the stuff which the sound really irritate while we eating at ground. They are not serving the food but they are throwing the food to us like throwing to beggars. Disappointed with services and attitude of the staffs. Pizza hut please give us a proper service for the money we paid. The good thing is the cashier told us there is air conditioning faulty, but we instead to dine in at ground floor.
